in modern football no one can play alone..if the term playing alone, means that u need to dribble all 5-8 players all the time before scoring and that is ridiculous..that is why 4-3-3, 4-5-1 tactics are used to minimise the movement of opposition attacking team..the art of defensive is based on the capability of the opposition team who can dribble and hold the ball on his foot..and the art of attacking is to open a wide range of defensive line for normal people to score..that is why some leagues in the world are just bored to watch becoz they cant even score when the scoring angle is small 😝😝

He made tactics to defend Messi because he already knew barca attack was going to be focused all around what Messi does. He also understood how key alves partnership was going to affect the game later on so he already had built in tactics with adjustments based on communication with wing back and Mid. He certainly shows his quality of understanding the game but to get your players to follow these to the tea is what makes him the chosen one. Messi is great because he could handle being great and so the attack was formed around him no question which is why zlatan, eto, Ronaldinho were all shipped out despite there class.
