Then, make that movie have the villain be a hero for no reason while saying “I’m not a hero.” Make that movie a big event and you the main villain for a series for the rest of eternity (or until you finally quit.) After that movie flops and your whole plan fails make a statement on twitter saying that the movie was a massive success. When you are called out for lying, go back to the other massive but more massive movie series that you left because you can’t work with somebody else to the point they have to copy and paste you into the movies. That will most definitely make you the most popular actor in the world and everybody will work with you because you are so humble. I’m really happy with how they did Back to the Future. Three movies, a complete story to tell, and the director & filmmakers basically said they’d never allow a remake or a sequel since they own the rights. That’s how sequels should be done, only if there’s an extra story that you really need to tell.

The sad part is even when they DO make something new, they have so little hope in the project that they basically leave it out to die. Ruby Gillman is a great example. Now as someone who saw the movie in the cinema, it is an absolutely average movie and nothing to write home about. But it is not at all a bad movie. There are far worse movies that have made a whole lot more money because the studio actually tried to get people to watch them. With how relatively small the budget for Ruby Gillman was, this movie absolutely did not deserve to be one of the biggest flops at box office in recent history. But what else is to be expected when most people never heard about the movie until the news about how badly it failed came around, and those that actually saw the trailers feel like they already saw the full movie and do not need to watch it in long form? A little more confidence in the project, and Ruby Gillman could have been fairly successful, maybe get a one or two season animated series to explore the world the movie hinted at, but alas.
