A modern sounding Les Paul is definitely the best way to describe the tone. Thick, crazy sustain and full of balls. I quite like the look of it personally. I hope it does well. Nolly and Manson built a gem for sure.

Im fortunate enough to be a Manson MA guitar owner and have met the guys at MGW in Devon. The ORYX is a clear step in a new direction for the company and it's super exciting to see where it will lead. Matt Bellamy already has a custom white fan fret ORYX he is using on won't stand down. Wood makes a difference no matter how miniscule once you play for long enough you can hear small differences. 2 guitars that are the same, setup, pickups, everything except fingerboard being maple vs ebony there can be a small difference heard. Now is that important or a figment of imagination? Probably but its the same when you say I can feel and hear the difference in a tube amp and modern modelers. So instead of getting worked up that someone uses the word tonewood remember every player is different and what one can write off the other can hold to high regard.
