The legendary "Dad Reflex"... I have witnessed that myself when i was small and my father shielded me for impact. I dunno what it is but Parents do have some 6th sense for danger the moment they become a parent, it is insane.

I remember the scariest part of my life other than getting robbed home alone at 12 years old... is saving my little cousin from drowning a big pool and that was the day I found out I can swim...I hesitated for like 2-3 seconds(I was 14 at the time) and I just said fuck it and I was alone with him too scared but I did it.

The guy at 58 seconds didn't save her. He actually tried to get behind her, he didn't grab her until after the vehicle had passed and ran over his ankle at which point he grabbed her as he was falling. She doesn't actually move at all because of him. She would have actually saved him if the vehicle was anymore to the right as it would have hit her cushioning the impact against him. If you watch her feet she takes a set of quick steps when she sees the vehicle, and her feet and body don't move again until the vehicle has passed and he starts dragging her down. He tried to save himself, but I'm guessing sold it off as saving her because of how fast it happened.

A couple of those were real questionable, especially the two with the pools and toddlers. Also, not saying the father shouldn't have protected his daughter from the crazy dog, but doing so was not exceptional, it was expected; not saving her would have made him a deadbeat, not average.

Families with swimming pools should keep their babies FAR away from them at ALL times. Everybody in the house and the baby outside up to whatever with barely any supervision. Lucky the splashing caught the dads attention.

The father saving the baby from the pool is "good thinking" !!!!! Really ? I know men are the saviours of society and the world. We do heroic things every day and put our lives in danger to save random strangers (while most women wouldn't risk their lives to save even loved ones) but the comment (good thinking) is stupid.
