Sometimes you gotta scare yourself John! Thats the best part about skating. Progression session and out of your comfort zone might stumble across something overlooked if you don't skate everything at spots. Happy skate year to you. Keep up the good work on videos. Seeing new parks and different spots is best thing about your channel.

When it's wet, one of the best rewards for trying a trick for a while at a spot is when you finally get it, everywhere else is dry! Trick request; I've been trying to do bs noseslide 270 heel for like 5 years, and I haven't been able to get a clean one, let's see you do it! Maybe it will inspire me to finally land it nice haha

@@stunna.1 Yes, when a rotation is done out of a tail slide or nose slide, to get back to regular or switch you need to rotate at 90 degrees or in 270 degrees if you're going for the extra 180. 360 degrees would be too much because you've already turned 90 degrees with the board to get into the tail slide or nose slide. if a park or any other obstacle is too hard or awkward for you to skate it doesn't mean that it is disproportionally built, it just means you have to skate it differently. personally this is why i don't enjoy skating skateparks, i'm not the best 'skater' trick-wise and i can't do grinds and slides and flips and spins like others can. i have more fun on any sort of abnormally constructed streetscape where i can just see what happens, rather than know exactly what i am going to be doing. this is my personal view of enjoying skating and it has taken me a long time to realise that i didn't need to be good and grinds, slides, flips and spins to simply enjoy skating the one thing i have to say to you john, is that although i think you're very skilled skateboarder, how you think as a skateboarder about certain obstacles, which you then post on youtube for hundreds or thousands of young people interested in skating, which they then watch and listen and learn from, teaches them an 'idea' of what skateboarding is that is not their own, and unknowingly kind of erases the growth of a young skater's creativity in how and what they want to skate. this is not an insult or attack on you john. i just want you to think about the reality of how this can happen, and possibly how you can adapt your way of delivering your personal opinion and ideology to the young generation of individuality of skateboarders

Which I could say the same for South Jersey. They tore up freedom park to make it fully cement, did 1/3 of it and have never touched it since. It’s just a bowl, two small benches, a 5 stair and a euro gap. It sounds like a lot until you actually see it, 2/3s of the property is unused and there’s SO much potential

In trondheim there is a "skatepark" which is just a bunch of big bumps and big plastic ledges where the edges that ur supposed to grind, are round.... not like coping round but like.... a yoga ball size curve.. atleast there is a ramp there tho..

I really wish I had a skatepark like this in my town, my local skatepark is probably only 7 meters long and only has 2 obstacles

You probably have not been to FDR Skate Park in South Philly, that’s a “made by skaters for skaters” park there, you should definitely check it out!!
