1:40, Love the little details before the fight that set up Apollo being beaten, from Ivan being unaffected by Apollo’s taunts, to him not even moving when Apollo taps his gloves, to him being in the center of the ring controlling the space (nice analysis on Ivan’s position there) while Apollo dances around him throwing ineffective strikes. Ivan’s set up perfectly as a composed and physically powerful fighter who takes fighting very seriously while Apollo, ever the showman, arrogantly attempts to be nonchalant and treat it all as a game. Adonis and Victor’s fight even share similar qualities, Victor coming into it controlled and composed, dominating the center of the ring, while Adonis impatiently dances around him landing ineffective strikes, only to crumple under Victor’s much heavier strikes and barely escaping with his life. He only won after, like Rocky did, by being able to take advantage of his size and outmaneuvered him until he was too exhausted to defend himself.

Drago was banned from the boxing commission after this match,which is why they had the fight in Russia,and considering the high tensions between the US and Russia at that point in time,Drago(a high ranking soviet soldier btw) would've been considered a political prisoner by the USSR,so they thought it best that he just goes back to Russia to avoid arising tensions.
