What makes me most angry is that it was almost like a brotherly love that Ling Yunche had for Ruyi. He admired her greatly and she for him as he protected her as his duty. Even to his dying breath he protected her. Unfortunately the emperor never let anyone admire who Ruyi truly was. The empress dowager and Concubine Rong knew this fact. Ruyi’s demeanor and Grace were to be admired, yet no one could do so without suspicion of a jealous man.
