No offense but, nonsense mate. Just because you're light sparring, doesn't mean you're not getting work done. You don't have to go home with a headache every night. 😂

this is the western culture in boxing and kick boxing. it's why muy Thai fighters have longer careers usually already 200 fights in before 20 and no brain damage from training

I'm thinking BS. It's mostly heavy weight boxers with the noticeable brain damage. muay thai fighters start and end their fighting career way sooner and many injuries show with age. Also, most muay thai fighters get broken and brushed aside. It's only the cream of the crop most genetically gifted that actually have fighting careers.

That’s why u don’t fucking spar everyday bro
@mikeywilson92437 ай бұрын
@@wildagoat5227 but why can't you spar light everyday as apposed to sparring heavy once a week? You're getting in more hours in the ring working on technique, strategy, cardio, etc.

I disagree man the point is to not have any injuries hard sparring often is just gonna shorten your career as a fighter it’s alright every once an awhile but pulling back at the end of kicks knees punches while sparring and not really hurting your opponent is key especially if your on a fight camp cause I mean you wanna be as prepared as possible not have a headache

honestly you should only rly be light sparring hard sparring is eh u can still keep up the speed u would in a hard spar and use good technique and combinations with good foot work all you do is take away the power and you can still learn sm just as much as hard sparring its very unnecessary to be going hard in sparring ur not fighting for a belt and some ppl dont want brain damage

That's 💯 bro I agree. Now that I e been in fight camp and been training for 3 years. I only hard spar because it is the only way I can improve using my full speed and about 80% of my power. Great video 💯💯

Limit hard sparring but hard sparring is the way to go. Soft sparring creates bitchassness

hard sparring is a dumb idea... maybe you mean medium sparring which is ok for non professionals... but if your only aim is to "get better" then hard sparring is just a bad idea... hard sparring will 99 percent of the time end with at least one guy getting serious injuries...to illustrate... i had a medium sparr like a week ago and i got got caught square in the face with a cross, mind you this is medium so it still got bloody and hurt like a bish for a week, but if that was hard sparring then id have been in a hospital. i dont know about you, but having to visit the hospital every time i train is not really my aim... you will learn just as well from a bloody nose then you will from a concusion+brain injury+not being able to train for months...

@@thehevytrooper Watch Mike Tyson's sparring and then come back. He never had so called light sparring. If you get injured during sparring or training then you are not meant to be a fighter.
@thehevytrooperАй бұрын
@@James-sn5mg you are not mike tyson, if you try to train like mike tyson you could end up like that guy that influencer that fought strickland... again my point was that normal people should avoid hard sparring 99.9 percent of the time, professional boxers are in a different situation where they should only be hard sparring...
@thehevytrooperАй бұрын
@@James-sn5mg also ive seen my fair share of mike tyson's training and fights. i can still guarantee, that even mike tyson at least started off with light to medium sparrs. also if you didn't even get your 1st bloody nose then i would guess you've either just started boxing like a month ago or your DEFINETLY not hard sparring. everyone gets bloody noses, even mike tyson. look at any boxers face and you can see from the shape of they're nose.
@James-sn5mgАй бұрын
@@thehevytrooper Mike tyson never had light sparring. He would hurt 2 or 3 guys every sparring session. They would have to rotate every round because one of them would get wrecked. You only spar light when you are a beginner or warm up

Sounds good you fight like you train. Stay Awesome!

Wrong. Doesn’t matter if you expert or beginner, light sparring and movement can correct the movement patterns that help you avoid shot and be in a position to counter, practice baiting shots etc, it definitely has its place across the whole spectrum of experience. Peace.
