Because I did too many skirmishes on my first playthrough (currently chapter 20 and 101 hours in!) the story levels were were so little experience ironically and it was the skirmishes that rlly benefitted me levelling such a big cast. I still had to make the decision to drop about 8 characters and focus on two teams of twelve to alternate in battles. Such good fun though. Different to 3H but I both games are excellent.

The answer is yes.

I can see an argument to wait longer on Maddening for certain units since gold is a scarcer resource so you could save $2,500 gold not needing a second seal if you level up at 18, and level up to 19 in the advanced class vs promote at level 10 and use a second seal at level 20, finishing at level 7. If gold is not an issue or they will definitely use a second seal, then promote ASAP since you'll get slightly higher growths, at least one additional move, and the ability to second seal back to level 1 if you hit level 20 in the advanced class.

This game series really just needs to display your internal level and do away with the ancient 1 - 20 and reset display. It's infuriating.

My favorite two are Chloe and Diamant. They are my favorite 2 units in the game. I also like Alcryst and Citrinne.

I’m confused why we should promote asap at level 10 since you’ll be missing out on 10 levels worth of stats. Maybe if you’re playing on maddening where those immediate stat growths are more important since you can’t do skirmishes on that difficulty but otherwise idk.

Louis seems like a better promote. He's strong all game, while Celine is replaceable at Ch11.
