I find the 6 inch coil is better sometimes to really localize and pinpoint an object. It does not generally work as deep as 11 inch, seems up to 5-7 inches is range for 6 inch. Agree with you tuber, works really nicely with separation in areas w a lot of aluminum pop tops etc. I have missed some good targets with the 6 in, however (a merc dime) later found w 11inch coil.

The information you gave was great however you missed the other place that the 6" shines and that is in the gold modes. This is of course only with the nox 800. Cheers John

Thanks John. There are some weaknesses to it and you really do have to Lazered in on a target. But the depth is good and I have found some unbelievable things using it. Glad I was able to help👍and thanks for watching

What a great video! We own an Equinox and this will be some useful Information! We found an area and made some videos about a small field where we found 76 coins in, I think that the 6 inch coil would be great for that field.

Hope you are doing well. I live about 3 hours north of yall and enjoy watching you and Calabash. I think you gave a lot of good information about the 6in coil and I agree with it all, mostly. I bought one, tested it and soon after I sold it. Now I wish I hadn't. It wasn't that expensive and I could have used it for a backup. Plus it would be a good coil to use for a youngster or for whatever reason you needed a lighter coil. But I do have to agree with Calabashdigger, I didn't see any advantage in iron over the 11in coil, plus the loss of some depth. But if I had it to do over again I would have kept it. I may even buy another. I just checked the price, I do wish I had kept it now. For emergencies and such only.

Again like I said in the video it is a situational coil just depends on the sites. The Deus definitely does better in iron hands down ! The 6 inch coil works good when you only get one shot at a spot and you really want to cherry pick. That to me is where this coil shines. An iron loaded site that is small and you are limited on time ,limited to going there, and if the equinox is alll you got. Luckily I have the Deus and Equinox I like using both on many of my sites. The 6 inch coil is just another tool for the Arsenal. Thanks for watching and I appreciate all the support! Happy hunting and good luck on your next adventure !!! 👍😊

A buddy of mine feels like he's missing stuff with his, we went over a Mercury Dime about five inches down and my 11" was clear and steady VDI and his was jumpy and weaker. Made me question if I need to get one when I was planning on i before that. Prolly still will cause I just want one but I hate the thought of missing stuff. good info on it very informative!

Again he may be missing things. Like I said in the video it easy to miss due to the small footprint. You may can only hit targets certain ways and you have be diligent with it that’s why I kept emphasizing small areas. It’s just another tool for the Arsenal. By no means is it perfect. My soil is mild so I get the decent depth but like you mentioned you can miss things if it doesn’t hit just right. I have found myself going over the sane area 2-3 times just to make sure. The key words are small areas and I usually use it after the Deus has pounded an area. It’s amazing though when it does pull something out. Makes you wonder how the heck did I miss that ? Good luck if you do decide to go with one and I hope I helped in some way. Thanks for watching and happy hunting !!

@@southernrelicadventures really liked the video keep these type coming I will watch anything that'll help me out in my hunts! I know I'll get one of these soon, when I got a 4" sniper coil on my last detector I found plenty in the same area where I'd used a larger stock coil so I know the Equinox will be the same way with the 6"! Happy hunting man! 🙌🏼
