You have to realize that VR is still a rather niche market, the tech, as a result, is going to be very expensive so the manufacturers can actually make a profit. Believe me, I WISH I could get something this cool for $300, but that's just not realistic.

@@sulkoma It's pick up a foot and stick it out to the side. Now as you slide your foot in towards your body it moves you out to peek. Slide that same foot back out away from your body and it will duck you back around the corner.

@@RDRJJ i think 2 k is a little low i mean if you have the money for a vr treadmil i think they would max it and buying a 4090 is atleats around 1000 dollars and thats only the graphics card and a vr treadmil is more than 1000 and the valve index another 1000 everything together at least 5 grand

This setup is wack, the run pad is not big enough to run, just walk. In a shooting game he has hand controllers when the gun could be the controller. I mean what the hek are those things, quit trinna be everything! Works for people but nit for products

@DIRTYOLMUPPET nah, the contoller and the game need to be made together and the pad bigger. They made it as a catch all and it suffers. How long u think it took dude to learn those weird green things. I just realized u can’t see ur gun if u shoulder it. Allot of this product doesn’t make sense. I can promise u hopping into that thing will be an absolute pain. Using augmented reality would help. Urself and hands and gun painted green so they can be tracked in game. There. Thats the solution we all want. A bigger pad and object tracking and augmenting with green.

Reminds me of the first time I paintballed with friends. The rush of adrenaline when you pop your head out and get paintballs singing past your ears is insane, the head gear dulls your senses and you have to stay totally under cover or have a ballsy maneuver planned... so much different than playing on a 2D screen.

Hell yeah! I played paintball once with my class and the sheer adrenaline rush is just pure dopamine. Once I'll have a stable income and proper equipment I'm gonna be participating in paintball, shit is so much fun

I absolutely want this to be the future of VR. Finally turning video games into a fun way of working out is such a beautiful mesh of the gaming hobby with a good motivation to stay healthy, all while doing more to negate the common problems with vertigo and dizziness many people often have when they try to use VR.

The only problem I have about treadmills honestly are the fact that you are locked in place and you don't get the same maneuverability you have in an empty room. It makes peeking corners SO MUCH easier when you can just step in real life naturally. of course the treadmill is awesome but yeah lol

Only issue is the sights in the game are locked in alignment. Imagine getting good at something like BoneLab with a setup like this though. With an accurately weighted control gun, and the co2 blowback haptics is an awesome idea, even if it takes some diy rigging. A pipe dream for me, but who knows what the future holds.

Game was great in 2018 before the bots And i don't want my statement to age like milk, so I'll make it clear that I think this new update might be more than just a couple community maps and dances (I can see valve pulling that)

My first time playing this game was at a buddy's house who had a rig similar to this. I slayed out and got accused of cheating twice. I'm a former Target shooter and have spent years in tactical training. I slayed out XD

I mean… you can see how the vr players have the clear advantage right? A big difference between just holding a controller and flicking some joysticks around, and actually being there in person with a gun in your hands, you just shouldn’t be allowed to cross play vr with console

having to actually aim down and then align the iron sights is a clear advantage over the iron sights already aligned and the crosshairs snapping to your target, @@AL-Doody ? Console players are a special type of torpid.

@@jspringer86vr players have the advantage, vr lets you blind fire around corners, move your body any way you want to, move far more erratically than console allows for, if you don't have better aim in vr than you do on console that us purely a skill issue because aiming in vr is easy as fuck

So would you say if you run faster irl, you faster than the games default? Like is it actually every step you take irl, is another step in game?

The treadmill basically just translates my movements into virtual joystick movement, so I am still limited by the max speed of whatever game I am playing. The software with the treadmill lets me tailor the sensitivity of my walking to fit different games as I like. Hope this helps - Cheers 🍻
