It feels like PacMan and Marquez were born to collide.

Juan and Manny have given the fans some of the most entertaining and thrilling fights of all time. I’ll always appreciate them both for that.

This just proves how great of a boxer Marquez really is, to be one of the only man to truly stand toe to toe with Pacman while everyone else was getting a beat down. 2 true legends of the sport.

When I was younger I thought the hype was just normal in boxing. As I grew up, I realized they were both legends fighting. And it's all history.

"They may have grown up a globe apart but Juan and Manny were two sides of the same coin. When fate had finally come to worked itself out, the coin landed; it was with Manny face down : All good things must come to an end. "

Many would think Marquez is finished after getting knocked down 3 times in the first round and had his nose broken. It's amazing he made a heroic comeback in the following rounds. Other boxers could not have recovered like Marquez did.

It's been 10 years since the last fight and I remember it like it was a couple of years ago. It was a great national event here in Mexico. Everyone was talking about it in the school, the street, the public transportation. I remember that even my teacher bought some pizzas for us and re-watched the fight in the school.

Among all of Pacman's opponents, only Marquez was able to figure out Manny's style. But even then, it took him 3 fights to figure him out. And since both fighters have high ring intelligence, they made adjustments on the fly in all their collisions. Marquez definitely earned his victory in their last fight, but there was no animosity between the two. They were friends, yet they knew they have to leave that outside the ring. While inside, it's just plain war.

From México, big respect for Manny, regardless of the results is amazing that many of the most glorious pages of his remarkable career were facing some of the best Mexican boxers.

Seeing what goes on in boxing these days with fighters ducking and dodging each other….it says a lot about both of these guys that they were willing to step in the ring with one another repeatedly, knowing full well that the other was a stylistic nightmare for them. Superb rivalry from two guys who left it all in the ring every single time they laced them up

A high volume pressure fighter vs an aggressive counter-puncher is always going to make for an amazing fight!

When I saw that manny KO, I thought he was dead. Also being a noob in my boxing knowledge I thought “it took him 4 tries to finally get a win this doesn’t mean much” but seeing how close those three fights were, that KO was like coming back 3-1 and being remembered for winning and not having a 73 win season

When they fight, it's like Ryu vs Ken. Almost the same skills with minor differences. Both have killer combos. Manny using that double jab to blind his opponent and land a big left while Marquez ever so slick with counterpunching.

I was about 12 years old when I saw their first fight! Growing up in a Mexican household boxing was always on display and in the background of my life…every party was centered around a boxing match (for the men at least) but it wasn’t until I saw this fight when I really started to pay attention and to LOVE BOXING!!! I’m so lucky to be born Mexican because boxing is such a huge sport to us!🇲🇽❤️🥊 Pacqiauo is also one of my favorites of all time! I’m just a fan of boxing in general lol
