Seeing some of these names is actually wild to me. Virgil Van Dijk, Dušan Tadić, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg to name a few. This was also right after Mané left, Southampton in that time period was just so good. Really sad to see them go down this year but they'll definitely be back.

Crazy that Southampton went from lighting up the EPL and beating Inter to relegation this season. This Southampton squad was such a nice surprise to watch. Hopefully they get back in the Premier League sooner rather than later

Not really. If you follow their progress you realise in 15/16 Southampton was as good as Brighton. But a couple of bad decisions +a hesitancy to make good signings see them regress over the years to relegation

Southampton in 2023: Relegated to Championship after 10 years of reign in PL. Most of the 2016 players like Van Dijk were left the club. Inter Milan in 2023: Played in Champions League Final after 13 years.
