What you have to realise is you are dealing with a child , a very dangerous one at that, it was when i finally realised that this person was totally irrational, that i became free.

Been through this for 28 years. It's absolutely mind boggling how a human being can treat people this way. That's what takes so long to get out sometimes. A normal person can't make sense of their thought process. Trust me, don't try, you'll only die or go crazy trying.

It’s hilariously hypocritical that the narcissist will miss what the old supply used to give them. Meanwhile the old supply wants the narcissist to go back to the beginning lovebombing valuing stage and stay there and they just won’t, but they expect you to stay a good source of supply.

I like the floodwater metaphor. Probably best to view the narcissist as a building inspector. They showed you your vulnerabilities/cracks so you can fill/heal/fortify them.

When I first met the narc, he was on anxiety medication and had problems sleeping. With time he stopped taking the meds, as he was starting to feel better. Then I realized over time, that I was taking so much abuse, verbal abuse, name calling and belittling, that i was the reason that he didn’t need the medication and I now felt depressed and low and almost going on medication because of the trauma, anxiety and low moods I was feeling because of the relationship.

I called out my NEX way too hard, leading to her gaining a new supply while we were still married, and then a brutal discard months later when i discovered her new relationship. She was so cruel and vindictive, pretty sure she wanted me to self destruct, maybe even commit suicide. Im not expecting any hoovers. And ive met the sweetest, most vulnerable kind empathic beautiful woman, she is soothing my soul...

The kitchen is too hot to handle.. he doesnt want the boundaries and have to treat me well because he knows my worth... so he runs to someone who is on his level because i refuse to be physically emotionally and verbally abused. Thank goodness it was my get away card. I still am shiny. These people are jelous and envious
