You know an actor is legit good when they can do differing roles like this and you actually buy into the character without thinking of their other roles. A lot of famous actors are really just people with strong enough personalities that people enjoy watching them ... but every role is just "them" in various scenarios. Like Will Smith back in his prime, even though people liked him every movie was just "what if Will Smith was in this situation".

I just recently finished Hilda, a cartoon about a girl and her mom and pet who lives in a world where humans coexist with mythical creatures. It's pretty sweet and fun. After I watched the last eps, I looked up the IMDb and I noticed that Hilda was played by the girl who played Ellie in The Last of Us show. Seeing that blew my mind. Her voice in Hilda was so different than in TLOU. In Hilda, she sounded really British and sweet. But in TLOU, you (or at least I) can't hear the British accent and she's like Ellie in the game, which is saying "fck you" every time she gets the chance to say it. And no, it's not because of age. The show got its final season in December last year, the same year as TLOU. She's just really good at it

Ellen Greene is an actress most well-known nowadays for her role in Little Shop of Horrors as Audrey, the one good person in the EXTREMELY morally grey story, even willing to have her body fed to a man eating plant if it meant that the man she loved got to live a good life. However, she was also in a stageplay called The Threepenny Opera, where she played the daughter of the "Beggar's Friend," a cruel man who has other beggars beat up any beggars who don't get a license from him that involves giving him a cut of the profits. Her character falls in love with the brutal serial killer Macheath, aka Mack the Knife (the song is originally from this), because she doesn't want to date a good man, and she ends up running his whole evil organization. At their wedding, she also sings revenge ballad Pirate Jenny (also originally from this) as something she heard while walking around Soho. When I realized it was her, my first reaction was "Man, I didn't know she had that kind of range!"
