I gave this comment as response to another comment here, and I'm reposting it here, too. I've been a Jikook supporter for a REALLY long time, because I just KNOW they're in an actual romantic relationship with each other,and that it's not just a ship. I also believe NamJin to be in a real romantic relationship with each other. BUT, and this is a huge point, even though both Jimin and Namjoon are CLEARLY in committed relationships for a while now, the two of them together just make sense in a way I've never seen before with any other members. Or even any other duo in Kpop. They compliment each other so seamlessly, LOOK incredible together, enjoy complimentary interests (not ALL the same but enough to be complicit without being the same person and boring each other), they support each other and look to each other to get comfort amd encouragement, because as the other guys have said, both Namjoon and Jimin are the two members everyone goes to the most for all advice, comfort and encouragement. So who does that for them? Each other. Namjoon asks for and sometimes seems to NEED, Jimin's opinion of a situation, what he read from a situation and/what he thinks should be done in a situation. His difficult decisions, duties or assessments as a leader, are usually weighed in with Jimin. Despite the fact that there are older members than both of them, one of whom Namjoon is in a relationship with. This wouldn't be as surprising if Jimin was Jin's or Suga's age, as it would make sense to ask advice from older members, but NO, Namjoon goes to one of the three youngest in the group, younger even than himself as leader. That says a lot about what Joon thinks of Jimin, his respect and undeniable admiration of him, and how he trusts Jimin to have his back in any situation. They also always seem to see or know without being told, when the other needs encouragement or feels insecure about something, and are always ready to support and boost each other as needed. Also the way they both aren't afraid to be vulnerable and emotional with each other is wonderful. The fact that they are able and willing to do that with and FOR each other the most is such a deep connection thing. That ESPECIALLY says a lot for Joon as he is a high-functioning introvert, and gets lost in his head a lot overthinking EVERYTHING. Jimin is always able to identify when he's about to go into that space, and is able to keep him out of there and present in the moment. Whether by doing something funny to get Namjoon to laugh, or by telling him straightforwardly not to overthink the situation and just do what needs doing. He also seems to know exactly which of those Namjoon needs at any given moment. The REAL kicker in all this? The fact that Namjoon ALWAYS listens to Jimin when he speaks. Sometimes Jimin will even give him instructions during tasks, and Namjoon will just follow Jimin's instructions without balking or even asking for explanation. This is HUGELY important in ANY relationship, as it denotes trust and respect despite age hierarchy, but especially in a country where age hierarchy is so important, it's almost constitutional. Namjoon also has no problems speaking his mind and revealing his TRUE feelings, insecurities, worries, joy, anticipation and excitement about things, if Jimin alone is the one he's in conversation with. Even going so far as to tell Jimin his coveted hopes and dreams, that he's said are embarrassing to express to people. I point this out because Namjoon has made it clear many times that he finds it difficult to do so, but with Jimin that never seems to be the case. Maybe because Jimin always seems to follow his train of thought and understand what Namjoon is trying to say, even when Namjoon himself is seemingly having trouble expressing or defining things how he sees them in his head. Which is usually a problem that very intelligent people have, not being able to communicate things as clearly or as fast as they happen in your head. Therefore having someone to help you express your true feelings on something, to OTHER'S, or to help you create a clear picture out of the chaotic genius running inside non-stop, is always a safe haven in a chaotic thought storm, and makes you feel less "OTHER" as a result of your intelligence. This makes Namjoon feel seen, heard and understood, and sometimes that's all you need to calm your anxiety about something, or to overcome your insecurities about your social quirks. It's incredibly calming to be treated like your brand of dysfunctional is "normal", even while knowing you're far from that . They are each other's safe place and sounding board,and Jimin makes it so Joon feels okay being goofy, funny and excitable. Like he doesn't need to be perfect,cool-headed leader at all times, and can just let loose and be young, too. There is even a communication analysis of one of their conversations about a new BTS album, done by a professional analyst, and SO MANY of these points were brought up there. The fact that someone who is a non-biased party, was able to identify these traits in their relationship is incredible, and also telling. If all that doesn't say POWER COUPLE, I don't know WHAT does. Their ICONIC competence together could LITERALLY run a country or Kingdom , and be better leaders than most countries' presidential cabinets or Royal families... and that's just EPIC TBH... ALSO another thing I've noticed that no one else seems to touch on, is the basic fact that out of all interactions Namjoon has with ALL of the members ALL the time, the ONLY time I have EVER seen Soekjin get mad or obviously jealous over Namjoon... is when Namjoon is interacting with, touching or laughing with JIMIN... now THAT is QUITE telling, too. Either Jin KNOWS about Namjoon's younger MEGA CRUSH on Jimin (which doesn't seem to have stopped, just evolved into a deep emotional and intellectual connection ), or he feels the undeniable connection and chemistry they have between them. So the two of them may not BE in a romantic relationship with each other, but I kinda feel like, MAYBE they SHOULD be? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤔🤔 💜💜💜 DISCLAIMER: This is all from the unbiased eyes of a BTS fan since 2013, who FULLY and TRULY believes NamJin and JiKook are REAL COUPLES... 💜💜💜
