Alyssa Moneyse the thing is Oscars are for theatrical release movies and the Emmys are for television and tv/streaming movies. This limited mini series was classified as television. 4 part. Please note that an Emmy is the highest honor of award for television, just like an Oscar is the highest honor of award for films. They are the same level of honor, just different categories. Oscar is for film and Emmy’s are for tv , I wish people could understand that and stop saying “he should have gotten an Oscar”. You can’t win oscars for tv projects but YES he was amazing and he 100% deserved his Emmy win. The whole 4 part series was beautiful and the acting was spectacular from all actors. Especially Jharell❤️

T.v shows don't get oscar's that's only for movies. The Emmy is the biggest t.v award.
