Oh wow!!!! Your video's are really helpful. I am 29 with 6/7 years of working experience in Banking and Finance. Specifically payments/Short-term insurance/life-insurances/mortgage collaterals. I work with excel every single day of my life and my undergraduate is Management Technology. I am interested in this journey and honestly want to take up the space.

I will take Exam P/1 first . I am studying Applied Statistics and Economics, but I am very worried about my GPA. Thanks Brea ASA , I want to ask you if its better to studying Mathematics and CS Combo or Applied Statistics and Economics.

So I am pursuing an MBA in data analytics and I already have a BS in Economics. If I want to begin or plan to begin my journey to become an actuary in the next year to year 1/2, would you recommend I change my MBA concentration to something else?

Hey there! You actually don't need a Master's to become an actuary, so you wouldn't need to change your concentration. Plus, data analytics is pretty relevant to the actuarial field, so either way you're in a good spot! :)

I'm a 28 year old math teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics (3.2 gpa) and a M.Ed in stem education (4.0 gpa). Do you think that my teaching/educational background would help me get an entry level actuary job assuming that I have at least one test passed? I'm literally in the exact situation. I'm 28 and I've been a math tutor for 2 years and a math teacher for 6 years. I have a BS in Mathematics (3.1 gpa) and a MS in Mathematics (3.4 gpa). I've taught at the high school and college level. From what I've learned so far, we are advanced in having great communication and advanced with our degrees. What we are now likely behind on is passing Actuary exams, getting our tech skills up, and gaining more relevant experience that has us using MS Excel or programming. I'm currently working on the things I need to improve on in order to make myself a better candidate hopefully in a year from now. I'm also open to doing other jobs such as Data Analysis as that can help propel you as well to gain more experience that's more related to the Actuary field. What are you doing currently for work?

@@dudewatchingyt Oh nice! Is that where you'll be looking for Actuary work as well? I think different countries also have certain exam routes but I think they take slightly different exams than in the U.S.

@@javiercabrera8502 the dream is, get a remote us job while living abroad, or find a western company that hires actuaries in Thailand or Singapore and work remotely here
