I hope they modernise like the Danish and other European Royals.... retire so they are on hand to advise those last few years while their child steps up and can still do with some support..and also removing/reducing titles for the leaving members, and reducing titles for the 'Spare', who will never now step into the role, as the elder sibling has children to follow them.

@@eancola6111 He might, but not soon. Unless his health takes a turn for the worse. It is beneficial for William to *not* be the king until George is about 18 or older. (His siblings by then would be in their teens -- off to boarding school, college, etc.) Of course, Catherine and Charles both being sick at the same time is something that nobody could have foreseen..

He grow up with very loving and protective with high respect and care to others especially . Even through his mother was very young she was a wonderful mother. William got his mother character, looks, attitudes of respect and loving to others and especially to the family. HE WILL BE A VERY GOOD FUTURE KING.❤❤❤

Actually Diana WASN'T a wonderful mother (just look at her youngest and her brother, she raised both and neither are anything to shout home about, in fact both are an embarrassment) and luckily William takes after his father. But if he is going to be even half as good a king as his father is then he seriously needs to buckle down and WORK. Not for nothing is he way down the list of hard working royals - above come the Edinburghs, the Gloucesters, Princess Anne and the King and Queen, not a placing to be proud of - and despite being 40 he hasn't achieved half of what his father had achieved by that age. I really hope he improves (definitely a monarchist but not sure William is going to be more than just ''OK'' as a king, I have high hopes for George though because Catherine is raising him properly and to know what is required) as well as getting down and working as hard as those in his family who are not only past retirement age but onto their second or third careers at this stage. Taking on some of their work load would be a huge benefit to them and enable them to spend more time on charities that they have specific interests in, instead they are having to cover for him (Catherine fair enough, she's ill and needs to rest, King Charles is back working as hard as he is allowed to which means some of the workload is taken off their shoulders).

@@ABC1701A She did not raise her brother. They were 3 years apart, he had a nanny, 2 older sisters and a stepmother. William had A very different childhood because he was pandered to, he was the heir everything was about William .Diana showered Harry with hugs something he did not get from the RF including Charles who had no time for him, still doesn’t. He was only 12 when his mom died, then he was an orphan. He trusted granny but antiquated ideas ended that.I will never forever her face when Meghan walked down the isle and both she and Harry turned to look at the queen. It was chilling,she had already made her decision., just a reminder

Most people tend to begin to have health problems at age 70+ Even if they don't get really sick, when they do get sick, they never recover to the level they were at before they got sick. The more serious the illness or injury the harder it is to recover after at 70. It is a steady downhill progression. That's life --- The so-called "golden years" can turn to brass, very quick!

I see no reason why parliament wouldn't accept him (after all, they actually decide on the next monarch as we all saw this time as it was televised for the first time ever) but if he really does do something monumentally stupid (such as NOT being a practicing Christian and congregant of the Church of England meaning he is ineligible to become the monarch) at least we know Harry will never be king.

@@ABC1701A In my opinion, there must be some very specific and special reasons for the Parliament to challenge the established order of succession to the throne (the oldest direct descendant ascends the throne, in the current situation it is Prince William as heir apparent). It is a formal act, rather than a substantive selection/decision of the candidate.

You ask the question: "When will Prince William Ascend to the Throne". The answer is rather difficult to say, as we are not privy to the life span of our present and rightful King Charles iii. The moment Charles dies, (May it be a long time in the future) William Prince of Wales, will immediately be King; people may oppose, but to bad that is how it works. Charles is a good, decent gentleman. It is our duty, (that is British people) to support him and defend him- He is our anointed King. The rest of the world; apart from the "Other Realms and Territories" should really keep their comments to themselves. Maybe look more to their own, often squalid constitution of presidents and the like, ten times as expensive and rarely as much value and constitutional security as the Crown. God defend the king, from smiling rogues and envious eyes!

Prince William got his kind and loving ways from his Mother. His Father was no example of how to treat your wife and Prince William saw how Charles and Camilla's cruelness towards his Mother hurt her and has strived to be the best husband he can be to his wife. Also his love of his children also comes from his Mother's example of always finding time for your children above Royal duty. William was always going to be a future King so he knew what his future was always going to be, where his brother Prince Harry always knew that he came into the World as a spare and he would have to make his own way in the World uncertain of what his future would be. Even Princess Diana said that Charles was disappointed that Harry was not a girl. So in Charles eyes Harry was a disappoint from birth. Charles and Camilla after all they did to destabilise the royal family get their happy ever after so why can't people just let Prince Harry and his wife be left to have their happy ever after. Charles did interviews and a book to tell the world about his affair and love for Camilla, and while married to Princess Diana. Even Princess Diana was left lonely and hurt by Charles and Camilla and this is why she looked for affection from others men. Princess Diana through others got to tell how badly she was treated by Charles, and Camilla and others in the Royal household. Yet when Prince Harry did the same he became an outcast. How can Charles, Camilla and Princess Diana can be forgiven yet Prince Harry is attacked constantly.

Oh stop it, Diana was lovely and I adored her too BUT she was no innocent angel and did many things that were disappointing and even shocking to her fans. She also publicly declared that she was the first one to step outside the marriage with multiple men including married ones AND she also declared Charles was a good father. Harry chose his poison, he had a paved road of gold and all the exact same opportunities, advantages, privileges, contacts, networks and resources as William but chose a self-serving hedonistic lifestyle of booze, drugs and grubby horrors. Do not feel bad for Harry, this is what he wanted and he claims to be very happy living his best life despite the nonstop demands to be taken back in and funded and cared for by the RF and other outrageous demands that he has no right or entitlement to. Your mentality and conduct are outrageous.

Twice the man his son is, managed to achieve so much more than William has by the same age William is now, genuinely cares for ALL people and not just a few that fit his specific interests (example I've seen nothing about William dealing with mental health issues or homelessness in rural areas or the mental strains/stresses those in farming suffer but lots about those living in cities getting mentioned (I've news for him, suicide is incredibly high in rural areas but he doesn't mention that at all and so is homelessness, again never a mention.) King Charles has been working for and fighting for ALL in the UK and the commonwealth for decades, William needs to step up, put his a into g and get on with working.

Uh, gee, to whom is this directed? Surely, not anyone living in the U.K.? In the words of then-Prince Charles, there can only be one monarch at a time. So, looks like when King Charles passes, Prince William will ascend the throne. Should King Charles abdicate, which he won't, then Prince William could ascend the throne.

Whatever happened to this once gallant prince😂 nowadays he’s turned out to be a very petty man like his father. With that in mind he should never be king especially now that he like his father are both drunks😂William is known to have an uncontrolable temper and Charles is suspicious that he is not Prince Harry’s father and Prince Harry whilst growing up would be intuitively be aware of this and that is why he as always felt the SPARE. That being said he and Meghan fled that racist dungeon and now have more than succeeded in all their ventures and wish to become us citizens and live perminately in California with their two beautiful children. Unfortunately the jealous haters in uk continue to spew out their venom. Sadly this will be the demise of the British monarchy😊 Bout time!!!
