Stand up Girl - Hina Khala, you both had the question why did she chose Raju over Mirza, if you were to go back a few episodes, when nana was in depression, Raju went and brought his comedy companions to get him out of the room/depression and Hina was watching from behind the door or something, that was the moment that intrigued Hina the most toward Raju and sparked her interest in checking his room. So Raju's love for nana, Hina's father seemed like a factor for her interest in Raju

Ishq Murshid: it was important to build up the romance and the bond between Shibra and Fazal Baksh….girls with her intellect do not go for guys from villages. Their relationship evolved slowly and steadily and brought a smile to our faces. Hope the end is a happy one for both even though they have several antagonists in the picture.

Bilal has played this role so beautifully that believe me, hearing the death words from the mouth of Fazal Bakhsh, along with Shebra, our hearts also quickened. That particular scene still hount me. Ishq Murshid: loving the drama. The build up was superbly done.feeling scared for Shahmeer, he is trapped from all the sides. The scenes between Shahmeer and Shibra are love❤️❤️. They look so beautiful with each other, it’s eye game between them, they need no words. The 5 sec scene was just so beautiful. I want more and more scenes of them . Bilal is so natural and subtle with his expressions, what a brilliant actor he is. Only the editing should have been better. Director should not get personal emotions into work, bhalle scenes are of no use, they are breaking the continuity.

Shibra's family is really weird. The Mom giggles to herself when she sees Fazal Baksh and Shibra having an open affair but gets offended when she sees her little daughter's Fiancé + cousin in the kitchen for 1 second. The dad has no problem with Fazal Baksh and Shibra's late night outings but gets offended when he sees Shibra coming from fazal Baksh's room.

Ishq Murshid : Iam finding the pace fine.. not at all feeling that it’s dragged.. may be because Iam from India and Iam used to watching shows for years and years.. it’s just 20 episodes and so much happened. If we don’t show their depth of relation then how will we connect to them when truth comes out.. The roof top scene and 5sec scenes were so brilliant and beautifully executed and brilliantly acted.

Standup Girl: the scene where kabir was confessing his love infront of Zara’s Mamo was hilarious 😂

Standup Girl: Honestly speaking, the least funny scenes are of stand-up comedians themselves. Romaan's comedy is very average, and Zara's wit in those scenes seems more like an ego clash than comedy. On the other hand, Mirza Khyal is my favorite after Nana ji. He effortlessly embodies his character, and the moment he comes on screen, I burst into laughter. :D

Which is why I don't mind the dragging 😅 The only time i don't like the pocket scenes are when they provide plot holes or are completely irrelevant. The performances. Hasan and Amina, I would like to know what do you think about Sulaiman Ahmad's character being inspired by "Makhdoom Amin Faheem"? Abdul Khaliq sahib has taken the basis of the story of the People's Party with great sophistication. 1) Benazir died in 2007, Zubaidah Sikandar in 2008 2) The death of both the characters is a mystery. 3) The husband is suspicious about the death of both 4). Both have a son who is also the chairman of the party. 5) Both have an activist in their story who stayed with them throughout their lives. But the interesting thing is that when Benazir died, Makhdoom Amin Fahim was the vice chairman of the party at that time. Who was later expelled like a fly in milk and died in 2015. Do you think these characters are similar? I would like someone else to comment if they keep a watchful eye on politics.

Ishq Murshid: I don't feel it is dragged. Shahmir and Shibra are going to suffer in hands of their families and these two to three episodes were very much needed to give an idea to audience that they are in love. It seems dragged because it has one episode per week. Otherwise its pace is fine.

Ishq Mursheed is only riding high because of the pull of the lead pair and the excellent supporting cast. It is otherwise quite boring with the scenes stretched beyond patience Bringing in the negative characters at this stage is very disappointing as it makes the story very commonplaced. I would have liked the story to remain confined to the families and how Bilal himself extricates himself from a situation of his own making rather than the other girl and her father butting in. Bilal’s tense situation in his family and his mother, has been lost in the narrative

Love watching Ishq Murshid. Great chemistry between Shibra and Shameer but also all the characters are performing well even the side characters which makes a great drama.

Ishq Murshid gave some hidden message, and I felt that all the sweetness and romance gonna fly from drama. As shahmeer didn't disclose his identity himself this going to hit Shibra and her family badly. lest see

Parizaad, ktk, mpth all became blockbuster dramas because of either the story or a particular character clicked with the audience and the same happened with IM. The initial pull of the drama was bilal aa fazal baksh and not the fl or chemistry like Mere humsafar or tere bin. IM literally is a one man show. But aamna and Hassan's obsession with dure wont agree on that. No matter who played shibra IM would have been a hit because bilal has equally good chemistry with literally every single character of the drama. His scenes with nargis, bhaley and faraz have more chemistry than with shibra. The number of reels and memes made of nargis and shahmeer can beat shibra and fazal 😂😂

I feel like shahmeer might die, because in this episode, Shibra and Shahmeer talked about death, and nobody will accept their relationship. Dawood, Mehreen, Haroon (Mehreen’s dad), Salman (Shibra’s dad), these people’s egos won’t let those 2 be together and, of course, Shibra herself, will she be able to forgive him?

'Stand up girl' is really enjoyable, with all the performances quite natural. I feel this is zara's best performance😊 'SUG' works so well because of it's writing & the dynamics between all characters. Only odd one out is kabir, he hasn't been able to strike a chord somehow. Rest, all is tremendous🎉

Ishq Murshid : the social media scene was to show that Shahmeer pics are not in SM that’s y he is able to fake as Fazal..and Faraz was just teasing him that he will put his pics on SM.

IM: Yes, the story is not moving. It's been 20 episodes and still there is so much to reveal and of course so many random scenes took away the interest in me. The only thing which still make me watch this is Bilal Abbas Khan, he never disappoints us. Not a big fan of Dure Fishan. Was very much enjoying it before because of Bilal but now slowly losing interest because of the plot. Talking about the upcoming episodes, I think Shahmeer's truth will be out in some other way but not him telling the truth himself (which I think he should), and she will be heartbroken and the episodes will drag showing the sad phase until Shameer's past life is revealed before him, about Zubeida Sikhandar and Suleiman and so on...But I know they will have a happy ending eventually and Shibra will forgive him ( not sure because of the conversation they had on the rooftop in the last episode on him leaving her if any such situation comes). For me, the only reason to watch Ishq murshid is Bilal. P.S : Loving your reviews Hassan & Amna

Fana - I started the drama with the expectation of watching something similar to Khaie but boy was I wrong 😂! Def an interesting watch. Looking forward to see how story will unfold. Hopefully, will keep us hooked till the end.

Dear Hasan and Amna..thank you for your lovely video your reviews are extremely poignant. I beg to differ when you compare romantic dramas with Isha Murshid. I think IM with all its dramatic liberties had won everybody’s heart because Bilal Abbas & Durre managed to create magic with their talented acting and screen presence that bewitched viewers. Neither Wahhaj nor Hania has a screen presence that makes and breaks hearts. It doesn’t matter when Shibra will find out whenever that moment will come it will be the beginning of her Love’s test. Yes there are filler episodes and yes we are becoming impatient but the magic created every week keeps us in awe for the next. ❤

I am enjoying Stand up girl much more than Ishq Murshid, every character, progression of the story, the chemistry between the leads is totally enjoyable in SG. IM is all about Bilal, he is the only guy carrying it on his shoulders. Durre is very beautiful not a match to Zara’s acting.

I enjoyed the first 2 episodes of Fanaa. I’m curious to see where this drama is heading but so far so good and I am intrigued 😊

Ishq Murshid future prediction : The gang might take Shibra's life when they realize that after the major showdown, she eventually still chooses Shameer... and this is where real Shahmeer would be born - ruthless and yet the leader who loves his people - trait that he inherited from his mother but emerged in his stint as Fazal Baksh with Shibra. It should be noted that every interaction he had with people & Shibra's family, barring the romance, stirred something in Fazal towards his people, that has started shaping his character & future...He witnessed their life, issues & struggles first hand... He will also come to know that his father killed his mother (I feel that Suleman has locked this secret in his heart) ...So, not only will the "gang" end his love, & be responsible for killing his mom, but also the cause of misery in his people's life... (and usse future wazir-e-azam bhi toh ban na hai) ... In his interview with Hassan, Fazal clearly says that the real identify of being "Shahmeer" will eventually take over from Fazal... Shahmeer is ruthless towards injustice and he will NOT spare! ... The look of the cast also changes, eg: Fazal grows a beard... The transformation from clean shaven to beard look might depict the change in a phase of life, from being happy-go-lucky, to matured-beaten-but-now-on-mission look... After Episode 22 is what Fazal says... (That said, my confusion is from the 20th episode where Fazal tells Shibra, that if he has to leave/die for her, he would make a silent exit... Is that a hint to his death than hers?...Phew! Writer - Pls give us a happy and yet epic ending!)

So done with Ishq Murshid weeks ago. There's nothing moving. We are still where we were like in the 3rd episode. Those cutesy scenes do not look cute anymore knowing that one of these persons is not what he's pretending to be for the past 100 episodes. There's nothing relatable in anyone's actions or reactions. Everything is unreal however they are clearly not portraying it as a fiction.

Love standup girl! Such a light fun drama. Make more of these types show.

Ishq Murshid - I agree, it is a bit dragging and the irrelevant add-on scenes of Fazal Bakhsh (Shahmeer) and Shibra are being overdone. I don’t mind irrelevant or add-on scenes of other characters but these two characters placement has been established…showing their romantic scenes or lovey dovey scenes without moving the plot forward are not fun to watch. It seems as though plot has stopped at one point and we are just repeatedly watching same thing over and over again. I don’t fast forward them but I do get bored watching them without story moving forward.

I had a quick conversation with Ijaz Aslam when he was in Dubai & he did say that Fana is one of his best work till date and a very different story he has done. He was glad that he was offered a strong script as he is exhausted being offered weak scripts.
