My story: There is this kid in my building who used to call me didi. So one day he was cycling and he suddenly fell...he started crying so I went to pick him up and his bike and his mother came running and said thank you to me ...before I could say “it’s okay” she said to her child ...”say thank you to aunty beta” 💔 ...remember the first line ? ..he “USED” to call me didi 😒 Ps: His mother was 10 years older to me.

Thirties are the best times. Take care of yourself, get healthy, get fit, develop a hobby. You have financial freedom. You don't have to ask anybody's permission to do anything. Thirties are the most liberating of all ages. Best part, you are still very young!

Same here...24+...till last year when mom treated me like kid I used to say I am grown up and now I have stopped saying that bcz as I realised I'm going to be 25 I felt like I am growing old....no one has called me aunt till now but still it feels weird and scary to think that I'm going to be 25 next year....one good thing is I'm the 2nd youngest kid in this generation in my family...and the youngest of my mom dad so no one really treats me that much like a grown up at least in my home😁😁😁

Welcome to this culture where we are ashamed of calling someone didi or bhaiya....and parents don't teach that either, because they are all hindi, indian words. everyone wants english. b ut there is no equivalent to didi, or akka, or behenji, which are all sweet. But we have made them bad words. and hence we are left with aunty and uncle. terrible

Still caring enough maturity to manage her 7 YO son her in-laws, her job, n her personal life living n loving all the fun. Woman to admire.
