Yep, the PC and PS5 versions are near-identical, the mobile version is vastly different for obvious reasons. Will have to confirm the clouds though. Glad you play Genshin on the PS5 now though, love your videos. Edit: Now confirmed that the volumetric cloud system is exclusive to the PS5 for now, on PC it's basically fog.

I play on laptop with high setting. The cloud on the Liyue mountain is exist too. But I think it's more like a thin fog (?) Not so cloudy like this one. I will check the grass in the Sumeru one. Never pay attention the detail too much. But I think it's just green grassy

I actually never noticed the sand detail wasn't on mobile, I stopped playing it when exploring in 3.0 and stopped play mobile because of space in 4.0.

Many assets are not available on mobile devices compared to PC or PS5 thus mobile devices have small size but that on PC and PS5 require large storage space.

I’m defo getting a ps5 this Christmas. 3 years ago, I started playing genshin on the ps4 but my ps4 was basically dying whenever I play. So I switched to laptop and iPad (with ps4 controller), now just and iPhone. I’m a person who likes playing games that are on max graphics, ps5 does the job.

Well, hoyoverse actualy reduce the size almost like 3× on mobile rather than pc or ps. Thats why not all texture get rendered compare to pc

strong PC can give the same expierience as PS5, or maybe even better, hard to tell cause Genshin is one of the games that doesn't use much power from GPU. It's a shame that gameplay is locked to 60FPS tho, I'm sure it would look amazing with 100+ FPS. also... I'm impressed by how good you are playing with your phone. I don't think I would be able to play like that for Spiral Abyss or Weekly Bosses. I only use Genshin on phone when I'm not home, it's enough to do dailes. But for more advanced content I use PC

Ive only ever played Genshin on Ps4 and now Ps5. Ive always wondered how ppl play on mobile as the game n story is so large and long. But one bad thing abt playing console is aiming with bow users via controller.

Wish they would add gyro controls for the bow characters for ps4/ps5. I would use them a lot more often if they did.

There are more differences than volumetric clouds and fuzzy grass actually. Look at the texture quality of characters. PS5 has high resolution, sharp character textures, while PC, even on the highest settings, has lower resolution and blurrier textures.

I play genshin on my android and ps5. And i gotta say the graphics on my android are top quality. Almost as good as on the ps5. But i sadly can't record on that graphic level so i most of the time put it on medium graphics so that i can actually record videos on my phone for genshin.

They probably done that to reduce storage on portable devices

Actually whatever device can give a consistent smooth 60 Fps to a particular game. You won't need 120FPS. Because they need a lot of frames to push above 60FPS, like close to faking it. I love PS5 but PC would be my future build. It's really expensive on PS.

I mean, PS5 is a device with enough power to do crazy smoke renderings like that and most PCs can't do the same. It's all fine... I'm always more impressed by the fact that it is still available on mobile AND has the single account over all platform facilities while looking this good on PC and PS5 . And the transition between PC and Mobile, while noticeable, isn't terrible or anything. It is still cool

Ps5 is dedicated for gaming, pc is bit similar in that case. Mobile version graphic need to reduce to minimise the game storage. You have remove inorder to ge to work properly. This is why there I storage difference in ps5 and pc and mobile

You do know you compared an iphone which is mobile Even if you compared the mobile with pc youll see that pc had extra details and effects compared to mobile, thats because of optimization Pc and ps5 dont look differ from each other, unless you have a potato pc so youll have to go with lowest as possible or worst

You're trying to compare a phone and a console built specifically for gaming, it's like comparing a motorcycle and a car, even if both are high-end, they're built for different purpose. It's obvious that the mobile version has worse graphics, just look at the memory size of the game, it's not even half the PC or the console version. As for the PS5 and PC comparison, there is very little difference. For the clouds in liyue mountains, the PS5 has this sharper "bubbly" shape to them and they are distantly grouped. Meanwhile on PC, the clouds are way denser that ofentimes you couldn't even see the ground, and the shapes are more blurred unlike on the console that are sharper. For the moss effects and sand physics, both PS5 and PC has it, there's literally nothing different. Both are great graphics but I'm guessing the PS5 has different cloud effects from PS4 and PC because the console is released after Genshin is already released, you could say that the PS4 and PC has exactly the same graphics settings, but when the PS5 released they tweaked some things because it's an upgrade from the PS4. What's exclusive from the PS versions, is that when you blow your mic in Paimon menu, Paimon does actually do an animation just like in the video. Aside from that, when you login on the PS, you'll also get the windglider PSN exclusive.

fun fact, the cloud details are actually slightly improved in pc version and the fuzzy grass is very visible on pc, the rolling cloud feature is also slightly edited for serenitea pot and certain domains, it's like downgraded version of the ps5 rolling clouds edit: I still don't get why pc players don't have a setting to enable rolling clouds since most high end pcs can surpass the ps5s performance
