Pause until the series until ranks redistribute since its harder to tell how a gc plays when some games are against ssl and others are against higher gcs. Since most gc from last season starts around c3-gc1

Yeah he already did this with mouse and their results were decent but hardly exceptional. I think people tend to overestimate leth's level when they see these vids bc he looks so much better in comparison to lower level players

​@@baller7387 you should have seen leth in his prime 🔥 if he would have been on the right team then he would have been unstoppable, alot of pros considered leth among some of the best players in rocket league, but also if he would have coached other teams like NRG then it could have been a very different result then coaching mouse

Try watching Flakes' road to ssl without mechanics! He plays as simply as possible and makes it look just as easy as Leth, without all the double taps and fast plays. He mainly focuses on possession and dribbles, which have helped me immensely. He's not nearly as upbeat, but he's a fantastic resource to get better imo. Leth and Flakes are my two favorite channels to learn RL from. Also, I'd recommend going into training packs while queuing for matches so you can use all the time you have. When I was lower, I'd just pick the default goalie packs and worked up the difficulties until I was comfortable or I needed to work on something else specific. After those I worked my way into the striker and aerial packs and then found a few good ones on the recommended page to keep me entertained. It doesn't matter if you're doing poorly; the more you play, the better you'll get. Even if it doesn't feel like anything's happening, you just gotta keep at it and you'll get there. Rocket League is almost definitely the hardest game you'll ever play, and it takes a lot of playing to get really good at it. Losing never really matters that much, either. If you lose a bunch of MMR that just means you can go on an awesome win streak some other time. What matters most is personal improvement and *not* your game-to-game performance. The biggest thing that's still helping me to this day is to remember that if the shot isn't threatening, it doesn't matter if the opponent hits it. Sometimes it's best to just let them be dumb and collect the ball when they fly past. It also helps _tremendously_ to stay calm and not panic whenever the ball's coming at you. 1s won't help with rotations, but I have found it absolutely incredible for learning mechanics and getting lots of practice keeping possession. Lots of 1s makes 2s seem tons easier when you get back into it (also can be a good break from teammates if they get annoying)

i was the same way when i played rocjet league, i didnt have much time to play and would usually spend all my tine in free play or training packs but it took me like 2 years to learn that no matter how many training packs and free play you do, the skill doesnt roll over into matches well at all, i was like champ in free play and plat1 in games for a couple years, but eventually i started practicing what i would normally practice in free play, in full blown ranked games and my teammates would call me sped and got alot of chats that looked like this "?????" but i just ignored them and almost got to Diamond 3 this way 😂 you just gotta embarass yourself with new stuff in the intense ranked games until you learn them and you will get better very fast, trust me (technically i did reach Diamond 3 but i lost it next game and didn't get it back before quitting) 😅
