Kitten chow the entire first year and then cat chow complete ( the blue bag) And then of course lots and lots of love and play time. @@Erika.D84 Not sure! They're touchy feely when they're vexed. Their antics, they can be proud of, their epic failures, mine tried to keep them on the DL. Never saw a cat fall as much, she's resilient and stubborn, stoopidly so. For a while she decided to lay on the cooking area, just above the dog's (and hers)huge water bowl. Falling into it is not the worse, slipping because you're soaked wet is. Slip'sliding away, especially when your kibbles are high. Pure Tom and Jerry move, poor cartoon landing. I hate to be "I told you so", my evil smile says it. Little bugger ! a1000 times she's been told, not a lot of interdictions,. Favourite places and hobbies of course are forbidden. Which makes breaking glasses all the more enjoyable. The only dangerous thing is attacking the dog for real. The dog won't kill her but I might, more probably leave her handicapped for good this time. she gets that i'm not joking. Not that she tried to gouge the dog's eyes out for years. That's the primal rule. No abusing my dog anymore ! Aside for that, she's the queen of the house. Totally fits "cats are assholes" videos...

@@Erika.D84 I didn't kill any cat or dog. almost killed a poodle as a young teenager. Threw him of a brigde. Untreated yet manic depressive, had a lot on my plate. It got personal. I was pure nurse Ratched when he made it back.(deranged Nurse, top-notch with horses). people tell me things because i get it and proved I care, go pick up animals tortured to death and so on because pêople do that. Losing it for a minute is not sadistic. Don't bottle things up and try PC at all cost. Get real ! But measured...Slap your buggers, don't kill them. Try it old school for a while and give them away if you must. I won't give away my companions. Scooby-doo stays and Fugee (the cat) too. I might have brought the dog back in his kennel. Destructive big black dogs don't fare well. She's a moron but everything in her life is about me

Lol. No, you are not the only one. I used to heat my cat's Fancy Feast choice up in the microwave (just a little bit, only to make it warm, not hot) or he wouldn't eat it. And he rarely ever repeated a flavor twice in a row. And he was an absolute monster if he did not get at least one bite of whatever meat I was eating for dinner, minus any sauce or spices on my food. And he always got the giblets from the turkey or if I baked a whole chicken, along with some dark meat and he looovvved my Dad's homemade Turkey gravy, (he would move his bowl all around the entire kitchen floor licking it clean and cry and howl for more, which he did not get because he only got very small amounts of human food because I was always worried he would get an upset stomach if he got any spices, herbs, etc by mistake - although the turkey gravy was spiced and had a special mushroom soy sauce in it, he only got a little bit and only once a year and never got sick). He was funny though, he loved tuna fish, but one time my husband bought tuna in oil by mistake (instead of water) and even though it was drained, he wouldn't touch it (I had two other, older cats at the time also, and they wouldn't touch it either) - I couldn't blame them though because I hated tuna in oil, no matter how well it was drained, even after mixing in the mayo, etc you couldn't mask the taste of the oil. Not that the cats got anything but just plain tuna (no mayo or relish, etc for the kitties, just plain, drained tuna).

I learned the hard way...threw out so much cat food I finally started letting her choose! It worked much better! Lol! And no...she would not have the same meal twice in a row...nor could she be fooled by 2 tins of the same flavour!

They all have their personality (and tastes). I want only females. My mother took to cats thanks to a female, but then took only males. Wayyy different, usually. Now she's done until one foot in the grave, My current cat is my fisrt entirely personnal and stray cat, i'm her favourite bed too, I was for most cats, only one did I throw away. Guess he was lucky my first dog was dead. Totally unbalanced cat, disappeared miles away from any country town after surviving a city; the ferret/weasel or fox company may have taught him a lesson. City boy was cocky, not smart. I kid you not about mustelids (ferrets are domesticated and yet born to be deadly)

That's a dog thing to wait or want you to eat. Chartreux are commonly known to be "faithful". Most don't care about "hunger strikes" and whatnot...My stray, like Garfield likes any human food cooked better than average kibbles. Your cat knows he owns you. Many people buy what they like(best brand) when they really eat a large variety of things. Like vets like to say : they eat vegetables.. THe bottomline is : if he doesn't eat whatever catfood he gets, he's not hungry. most domestic cats are fat, if not way too fat, built for survival and stubborn enoguh that many people throw them out the window, no matter what floor they get pissed. Which proves they know nothing . You're free to do as you please and lucky to have a nice cat, most need strict boundaries to play nice and half of the race should be euthanised. We all know it. You may turn your head but mine was dying. One of 30 strays..and ever more each season because peple are cheap morons

My cat would be out the door faster than the burglar comin in i promise ya. Dunno what ya brothers talkin about. Seems only americans use dog as a greeting/ term of reverance. In the criminal world in most countries a "dog" is someone who gives you up (dobs you in ). Said because if you run away and hide in something, your dog will follow you and sit outside your hiding spot, thus alerting police to your whereabouts... ( its a figure of speech based on a dogs desire to be by its owner)

I've always said dogs are totally honest (except for 2 little things- how much food & how much attention they've had) Cats, on the other hand, lie about everything all the times. And yes, I do have both cats & dogs so I speak from experience.

Cats recognize their food bag if you feed them the same food all the time plus they can smell the bag. My cat does the same thing. As soon as I get in from the market, she looks for her bag. Super smart.
