Can’t live without a dog. Doesn’t matter how old or young one is. They are still your best friend. We are in our 80’s and have a 3 year old Labradoodle.

My parents are in their late 70s and they adopted a senior dog. It was the best decision. I'm so happy for them amd for their dog because not many people adopt senior animals

I absolutely disagree with giving puppies to elderly people. When the people pass, many of their dogs end up in shelters. It’s not right. Give senior rescue dogs, not puppies.

It's not right for the dog to end up in a shelter. However, it is fine to have the dog if there's a plan in place that a family member will take the dog on in the event of the passing of the elderly owner. My issue is people screaming at the puppies in delight. It must frighten them. Show your excitement in a way appropriate to your puppy.

That so generalised and to be honest a bit ignorant and offensive. You are judging by assumption, everyone who gives a dog to an elderly person. Many, as I know if it were me giving the gift. I'd nevvvvvvver give something like this as a gift without a concrete plan and even plan c ie knowing that I would take the dog if worst came to worse then a back up plan to that aswell....... like most people with an ounce of wit and compassion would do. 🙄🤔

Oh, how I adore these videos! Sadly, since we lost our last 3 dogs, we've never gathered up the courage to adopt again. Instead, we make monthly contributions to various rescues and shelters (a different one each month). If we cannot give a loving home to a pet in need, at least we can help those who help them.🥹❤️
