@challah4311 I didnt stutter fam. Denzel is only a better rapper, which doesn't say much because Paak is more a singer/instrumentalist than he's a rapper. Zel has one lane he stays in which he's very good at but Paak is more versatile, has more range, has a better catalog and makes the best music. The dude is a musician in the purest sense. @SideA628 I'd lie if I said I wasn't a little biased towards Paak. But I've extensively listened to both their bodies of work, and while their styles are very different, I do feel Paak puts out more quality in what he does than Denzel. The versatility is a huge difference maker for me. Paak will give you hip-hop, funk, soul, alternative pop all at high quality. Denzel might be the better rapper but Paak clears the entire freshman class as an artist. I know Denzel's fanbase will fight this take with all they got but I'm willing to die on that hill bro

Denzel has really been slept on all these years. He even has a mentor like relationship with Andre 3K, so you know he has access to some of the most talented parts of hip hop. I think his biggest strength is his ability to adapt. While he may put his soul into all of his works, it feels like each album is different, and hit in a different way. Which brings us back to the Andre 3K advice, who told him to never get bored of making his music.

I feel like Uzi never got the recognition he deserved. Sure, all of his albums reached the top of the charts, but his marketing schemes, management, and pressuring fans never helped him reach his full potential. He could’ve been knocking on the Big 3 in the near future, but now he’s facing “falling off” allegations and getting so much hate for no reason.

denzel is definitely the best on the 2016 xxl freshmen. TA13OO and Melt My Eyez, See Your Future are both way better than any albums by the rest of the freshmen class. He might be less popular than the rest of them, but he definitely raps better and addresses much more meaningful topics in his music.
