Sir Alex built the youth academy and scouting structure at United. His initial titles were won with 6 youth academy players. The revenue he generated for United was his hard work. Pep inherited a billion dollar Barcelona, needed the referees help to win 2 UCLs, also Pep inherited treble winning Bayern and could Not even take them to the final😂 and Pep’s billion dollar City got knocked out of the UCL by Lyon Spurs and Monaco🤣 Sir Alex on the other hand remains the last manager to beat Real Madrid in a European Cup final. And he did that with minnows Aberdeen🐐

Pep for me is the best of all time. Revolutionised a barcalona team and got rid of all their stars such as deco and Ronaldinho. Took all players for academy and made them unbeatable. Peps trout cabinet and win percentage based on seasons played he already in trophy wise is the 3rd most successful manager of all time. If we look at trophy to season he’s on top. 4 leagues in last 5 that’s total domination and that Liverpool team deserved a few. The consistency of his teams and high performance levels is insane. He always gets rid of stars and makes teams better. He’s a genius. People are just jealous of him I appreciate his greatness as a Liverpool fan who has gone through heart break and the hands of that bald genius. People talk about fergie not having money he was biggest spender during his reign and had pick of all best players. During his time man United had biggest monopoly on league. No one could compete. Rio Ferdinand more less cost 100 million + in todays market when they spent 30 odd million on him. Pep spanked fergie in two champions league finals. That 08/09 team was better than his 99 team and was that man United strongest ever team under him. Surely if he’s the greatest he would have beat pep at least once. Peps style of football suffocates opponents. Even without messi they still would have won. The same tiki taka pep adopted was taking by the same Spanish internationals that we’re without messi who dominated internationally for years. Peps 100 point season beats every single team in any bpl season since it’s inception. No way does fergie win 13 leagues with pep around. Even Klopp Liverpool won more points than any of fergie teams. Don’t tell me about different eras. Pep and fergie crossed eras and we have seen peps tactics were superior. Bpl is now much more competitive you have 6 teams who could win the league. 6 teams with strong financial power. In fact even the other teams now have money every team now had technical stars within their teams. What I rate about fergie was his ability to adapt with youth and refresh teams something klopp can’t do. I’m a Liverpool fan. But pep is best I’ve ever seen. I feel they need to indite first division mangers as bpl small selection - the likes of Bobby robson, Kenny danglsih won many with Liverpool but one with Blackburn, shakely, bob paisley, Brian clough etc

Must be a newborn kid. More like the other way around LOL. If Sir Alex was younger, he’d have adapted to the “Pep” challenge and beaten him and Pep would not be winning more than 2 Premier League titles. Want to know why? There’s proof and history behind this. Sir Alex was first beaten to a league title (or two) by Wenger, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Mancini. What did Sir Alex do? He’d learn, adapt his team and tactics, and come back and win 3 league titles in a row and he did this across different decades. So I’m sure if he was 60 instead of 75, he’d have faced Pep more often and smashed him just the way Ancelotti smashed Pep 5-0 on aggregate in 2014 and knocked Pep’s City out last year. Pep only got rid of “two” players at Barcelona Not “all their stars”. He inherited a Barcelona team of Puyol Valdes Eto’o Iniesta Xavi Messi who had just won the UCL 2 years before Pep took over. So these players were already elite winners. Pep then inherited a treble winning Bayern team and could NOT even take them to a final LOL. He then inherited a City team that won the premier league 2 years before he joined. And although he’s done well at City in the league, he still got knocked out of the UCL by Monaco Spurs and Lyon😂 Sir Alex Ferguson re-built an entire club that was in the dust and had not won the league for 25 years and the UCL for 31 years. Sir Alex Ferguson won the European Cup Winners Cup with minnows Aberdeen beating Real Madrid in the 1983 final. Last time I checked, Pep bottled a semi final to Real Madrid in 2 minutes of stoppage time😂 And by your logic, Tuchel greater than Pep because Tuchel beat Pep in a UCL final with Kai Havertz and Timo Werner😂 There’s only one manager that’s the best of all time and he is Sir Alex Ferguson🐐

Fergie built 3 world class teams at Man United. Not only that but when Wenger came in and ended their dominance, he adapted his style and tactics to get United back on top, then he done the same when Mourinho came in, then he done the same when City were on the rise. Pep has had a very fortunate career where he inherited an amazing Barcelona team with Messi in, then went to Bayern who had the best squad in Europe at the time and now City, who had the best squad and unlimited tramsfer funds, he's never truely "challenged himself". Wenger changed the English game forever before pep even came along (on and off the pitch) Fergie built United back up and rebuilt them with 3 different world class teams. Pep doesn't compare to the 2 of them

Far from an Gooner but what Wenger done at the Arsenal; revolutionising the nutrition and conditioning of his players and going toe to toe with great Utd teams on a fraction of the budget that Pep has to play with is outstanding. In his latter years he became a victim of his own method inasmuch as he failed to adapt to the changing economic climate which resulted in so many of his top players getting snapped up by rivals. Regardless, his place in the epl hall of fame is thoroughly deserved.

Pep isn't close to Fergie. He's probably a bit closer to Wenger but still not on the same level. Wenger revolutionised the science and training sides of football, went a full season unbeaten and was still managing to get Arsenal into the top 4 every season even working on a reduced budget after having helped fund a new stadium. Plus he played fantastic football and signed some of the all time greats.

All I can say is that EPL has been spoiled with great, great managers. While SAF and AW are the godfathers of elite EPL managers, Jose, Pep, and Jurgen Klopp are making their marks in their own ways. I can still remember how intimidating Jose's first Chelsea team - they looked undefeatable for a long period of time. Eventually, I think both Jose and Pep would rightly be honoured with their entry into the hall of frame. But I think the key is "in their own way." How lucky we have been in the last 30 years.

Your statement on financials is completely incorrect in all generations. Not to mention in the second half of his tenure (let’s say early 2000’s… Man Utd were way out in front of money generated) Barcelona took their model for revenue generation for Christ’s sake. You’re utterly delusional or 15 which one is it? A man who built 3 world beating teams over 3 separate generations of football (staying in touch with the game), the last manager to beat Real Madrid in a European final (that was with Aberdeen), the only manager to break the chokehold in Scotland between Celtic and Rangers (again with Aberdeen, and it hasn’t been done since). The list goes on… we’re not comparing that to someone who’s stepped into a ready made team with an unlimited budget and no actual restrictions to operate under (including the fair play legislation of the game) are we?

Ferguson didn't always have that, look at 96 where he had to sell a load of players, couldn't afford major signings, and had to blood in his youth players - Scholes, Beckham, Nevilles AND won the double that season. Blackburn had more direct spending power than United in 95, building that Shearer/Sutton team. Newcastle outspent United between 95 and 97, breaking the world record on Shearer. Arsenal were the first English team to break twenty million - on Anelka, in 1999. Leeds then went on a spending spree between 99 and 2001. United ONLY broke 20 million for the first time on Veron in 2001. A summer where they finally did go out and spend a crazy amount. Chelsea got their money in 2003. United were only 'had a big transfer budget compared to the teams he was competing against' between the years 2001 - 2003. Outside of that, other clubs outspent United. It just kept rotating.

For me, Even though I really Rate pep. I think what Arsene and Alex Ferguson were able to achieve ranks higher. Reason being is there resources were dramatically smaller. Pep has only won and achieved with clubs that had bottomless budgets and unbelievable squads. Arsene managed to build an unbelievable squad with fairly small budget and astute scouting with Alex Ferguson, managing to win the premier league with a fairly average squad at times.

It’s not easy to tell who is better because they have different resources and different players. You can think of it this way. If a teacher has the best group of students, and they get great results, does it automatically mean the teacher is bad, because “anyone” can teach this group of students and get great results? Maybe, it could be. But can it be that, that teacher also has the best teaching skills in the world? Yes, that is also possible. Now, if that teacher with the best teaching skills in the world, is teaching the best group of student, and getting great results. And another teacher who has the second best teaching skills in the world, is leading a poor group of student to get a great result. Do you think which teacher is better? Of course the teacher with the best teaching skills in the world is better. That’s why you can’t just judge by the resource or the players they have. You have to judge by their tactical sophistication.

A few United fans said Sir Alex shouldve been inducted on his own and not along side Wenger cause what he did at United stood on its own not just in England but world football. I agree with that sentiment but at the same time inducting them together and highlighting the 16 titles won between them just somewhat diminishes Wengers achievements at Arsenal since 13 to 3 titles isnt anywhere near. I felt they both shouldve been inducted separately and their achievements as managers be highlighted individually. But that's just my opinion.

Ferguson is the greatest manager ever IMO, with him continually adapting to a rapidly evolving football landscape and winning trophy after trophy for more than 30 years with Aberdeen and Man Utd. However Guardiola unlike Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho, Klopp (who all won 0 major trophies as players), also enjoyed a hugely successful and trophy laden playing career. So his overall footballing career tops any of theirs including Ferguson’s - reaching the pinnacle of club football and winning trophy after trophy as a player, and then reaching the pinnacle of club football and winning even more trophies as a manager, must be incredibly special.
