Good answer by Shavkat. These GOAT conversations are always very interesting; people have their own criteria for what constitutes greatness. Part of it is in fact longevity and combatting many #1 contenders with many different styles. While Khabib has fought some incredibly tough guys, he doesn't have those title defenses against the #1 contenders. However, where Khabib shines above all else is the shear domination, anytime he got inside the cage. Aside from 1 or 2 rounds, one can argue every single round in favor of Khabib. That can't be said that about any other fighter.

Both Khabib and Jon Jones still have incomplete mission. Both are GOAT at their own league. Jon Jones have one more step to be the GOAT, that is to knock out the unknockoutable beast Ngannou. Jon Jones is very good at adjusting his fighting strategy in the middle of the fights. Khabib have more steps to be the GOAT, there are to get middle weight belt first and defense the belt (in lightweight division there is no way current fighters can take his title belt so its useless to count the title defense) Khabib is the only fight who never bleed or scratch inside the ufc octagon.
