Where have all the 160mm heels gone?!

Christian Louboutin has been producing lower and lower heel heights. At one point they had many competing 160mm styles, all of which were iconic. You could spot celebrities and the like wearing these styles every week. What happened?

Not only the 160, but even the 130 and the 120...at least in europe they are unfindable!

An old school of fashion thought is that during economic recession heels get higher and when times are good heels get lower, hence why the platforms have currently gone away although they will be back in the next recession.

I bet it isn't lack of women's interest in the higher heels. It's the company's intentional decision to make them lower. What better way to boost sales than to create a new need?

The lesson here is, to my mind, when you find something you really like, buy at least one spare.

I dont like platforms ever.. single sole for me.. 100mm to 120 works well.. above that is only a dinner shoe.

In the United States, we all have to look up how tall 160mm is ! Ahhh... 6.29 inches !
