We are Greg and Jumi, met in New York City. Hailing from opposite ends of the globe. Greg is a native New Yorker who was born and raised in Queens NYC and Jumi grew up in the beautiful islands of the Visayas region of the Philippines.

Do you know that New York has the same numerology as Kuala Lumpur? ( 3- offer creativity & entertainment, 11- attract inspirational people, 8- offer lessons of prosperity and power.) I am 11and have soul urge no 3 and path no 8, that is why I love both these cities. I lived in KL in the 70s and had stayed in NY in the 80s. I arrived in NY by cab. I found out later that the correct fare was $30, but I paid $100. Upon reaching the city I heard gun shots and siren from the police car, but instead of being scared, I was excited. It was like entering into a movie scene. Till today, I didn't know whether it was a movie shoot or for real. Nonetheless, the excitement did not recede during my stay there, till I finally returned to Malaysia after 8 years.

Very interesting! Always hear stories about how wild NYC was back in the 80’s from family and friends. We love KL and NYC so there may be something to that

@@FoodandFootprints Yes, it would be lovely to see u guys back in Malaysia. Since Malaysia fully ended d lockdown last April n welcome back foreign tourists, many street food r back in biz. Hope that u guys have plans to travel again. However, due to lots of illegal immigrants from neighboring countries, d automatic visa for tourists from this region is limited to one month only. Most foreign tourists from North America n Europe still able to get 3 months visa upon arrival. Anyway, it's just lovely to see u guys again. 😁

Whew!!! I just remember thinking „oh my gosh they’re stuck in Malaysia!“ then I thought „ oh they are fine traveling to Thailand and Philippines YAYY“ But I’m glad you are both back and safe and together! Myself and my partner did a food tour with Greg last October and it was the highlight of our NY trip!! We're coming back to NY this year too and this will be the first thing we book!! After the tour, Greg recommended we visit Long Island City and it really was the best view of the skyline. We then jumped on the ferry back to Manhattan which was a beautiful way to sightsee (we got the ferry a lot after this too, so using the ferry was such a good tip from Greg!!) Happy 2023 to you both, hope we meet again this year!! xx
