You certainly ‘go through the wars’ with your health, but thankfully your back again, let’s hope on the way to a full recovery. Also, it is good to hear someone being honest with regard to what has occurred to them especially as many people would rather not talk about such matters. Anyway, it’s great to have you back and an inspiration to us to us all, I ‘m certainly happy to listen to you ‘Babbling On’ anytime ! Take care and thank you for what you do and show us.

Your landscaping is so beautiful. I’m the modelbuilder at our house, but my husband accidentally took a look at my screen when your layout was in full view. He was very impressed with your scenery. That’s saying a lot. The transitions between your backdrop and trees/hills are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your immaculate craft.

This might be hard to describe, but should help you solder with one eye. You need a light on your desk (Not Diffused, but a focused light) in front of your chest 90 degrees to your table top pointing away from you. Put a vertical white card that the light will shine on behind the work you are going to solder. As you look down with your one good eye, you should be able to see the X and Y axis. Your problem with not having 2 eyes is depth so the iron might be too high or too low. you can not detect that. What you can see is the shadow of your iron and your work line up on the white card you placed at 90 degrees to your work. this will let you see if you are too high or to low. just line the shadows up. You can adjust the card to 45 leaning back or what ever you feel works for you. The goal is to see the 2 shadows line up.
