Maybe a couple would've got some attention eventually but the show jump-started and accelerated the process. You know all of their names because of the show... It’s crazy because I kinda knew of his struggles a little bit but didn’t know all this. That last part where the fan was talking shit to him was sad af. I don’t think people realize that’s how people can kill themselves that was a little too hard on him. At this point music probably don’t even make him happy especially seeing others lap him in the game when he is the one who won. Hopefully he finds what makes him happy. Maybe since he likes to be on IG he should start a podcast or start gaming or streaming.

I'm saddened by this video and the turn baby boy's life took. Everything we see, is not all there is to he seen... Definitely going to be praying for him and his family. There are so many demons in the "lime light." The industry has high potential for stealing identities, killing passions & purpose,, and destroying futures... That “fan” giving constructive criticism was speaking truth but he wasn’t helping. He understands his short comings. Did he have solutions, resources advice ect. It’s not the nice to just compare yourself to others we should only try and be the best us. Always out sue yourself everyone has a different path so it’s irrelevant what other artist are doing that was just to put him down. He just needs a game plan or figure what he wants outta life & or a music career because he seems aimless you’re not going to achieve anything if you don’t set goals. He obviously can compete and complete task when fr puts his mind to it winning the show provide that. He obviously isn’t the hustler type and Needs someone to motivate & guide him. A lot of artist only wanna focus on the art and need other ppl to make it into a business. That’s pro why he’s the type that needs to sign to a label and not be independent unfortunately he didn’t get the machine behind that he thought came with winning

At some point he’s gotta hear it harshly tho. Go back to the show. His ego was crazy. He hasn’t changed at all. The only difference is the music isn’t hitting the same bc rap has changed. Nobody cares about lyrical rapping, and he refused to take any criticism and change his sound. The fan was 100% right and the only way it was gonna get through to nova was by being harsh. I understand he has schizophrenia, but at some point you gotta realize all the people being “positive” in nova’s comments are just enabling him to stay in the same position he’s been in for the past 3 years. He will never be successful because he will never change, purely because he can’t take criticism. He couldn’t take criticism on the show and nothing has changed.

I feel it because I'm still learning too.. Understanding gotta be on both sides because the struggles are difficult to relate to since the information isn't known unless you are familiar with someone who suffers from it or your taught like you mentioned. Regardless im hoping with time and better ways to relate more ppl will have the ability to fully understand the severity of schizophrenia and ways to help those who suffer from it. Appreciate the insight 🙏🏽

Don’t watch the whole documentary because as a whole it can bring misconceptions as well but in the documentary for the slenderman stabbings the girl who has schizophrenia her dad speaks about his experiences having it as well and how he navigates that as an adult.🫶🏽much love

Lol...A lot of yall have NO clue how these reality talent shows work..lol. It is up to you to be the driver of your career once given the platform for exposure. JD did his job and PLENTY for them which was giving them a nationewide PLATFORM to showcase their talent to millions of viewers. Otherwise, none of them would have the growing fanbase today. Only a small select few are gonna captialize off of the opportunity rather than wait aroundfor a handout from JD. J.I. is a prime example! Hopefully Nova continues his music journey. I can imagine his mental health being an uphill battle.

It almost seems as if Music wasn’t Nova’s true love but maybe a way to get out of poverty and His hardships as a teenager back than. He had a way with the crowd and got comfortable cocky and than lazy and than eventually fell off. It happens to the best of them. Music is constantly evolving and innovative, being stagnant and thinking someone wants to listen to the same ole will have You stuck. I feel his pride and ego is hurt because his contestants have out did him, and the ones he felt wasn’t competition is doing better than Him. Sucks!

That’s the thing tho….no one signed with JD afterwards. The “contract” and chain was literally not what he made it out to be and he’d be exploiting these kids and not really doing anything for them. It was really just a show and an extra stream of income. He’s been called out by almost every kid on the show. JD has even gone on record saying none of the kids were at the caliber he’d want to sign anyway….maybe only Latto. And she turned him down cuz the money he was giving she already had on her own. I think that Rap Game(kinda) tried to do what American Idol was supposed to do….shed light on possible up and coming rappers. JD is def a legend in his own right, but I don’t think he had real intentions to help them more than increase their following and showcase their abilities. I do feel bad for Nova tho cuz people say he fell off and criticize him, when he was dealing with real issues personally. Being diagnosed as schizophrenic in his early teens/20’s had to be tough on his family. And Deetranada doesn’t even mess with JD frfr because of all the disrespectful comments he’s had about her since she’s been on the show, lol. Lil Roscoe might have benefited more from JD helping him tho, so I def agree on that one💯
