Recently passed my test here in the UK and got this car as my first car for dirt cheap, just had to do a little bit of work on it and this video helped me alot so thank you for this upload, also I love this car it is very sensible and functional with great all round visibility.

1:20 Note: Some models (at least my 2005 version) don't have these clamp springs. But don't worry. Push the seat forward and unscrew the torx bolts (40 mm) that fixes the outer rail to the bottom.

On later models they used 3 very hard to get at torx bolts. God knows why..

I dimmed my instruments with the push button with the lights on, but they now wont illuminate with the brightness button, if i turn the lights off the instruments light up fine, now i have no instruments in th dark

- it won't freeze that easily outside - it's somewhat harder to steal - you can connect a 12V extension cable to it more easily and power devices (I did that) - but it's also somewhat harder to provide power to another car...

Because it won’t freeze there, the battery life is considderable longer. And for jump starting it has connections in the engine compartment of course. And who needs to access the battery when it lasts 12 years like this.

Newer versions have 1.6 liter engines, get a diesel because it has more torque, it is spacious from the inside, I personally like it.

Just push the seat all the way back, remove the headrest and than the seat should lean forward decently.
