It's wonderful seeing John doing his amazing latest journey across the states. My niece's husband's dad is much the same age as John and cycles over 200miles in a day regularly. These pensioners like John are an inspiration. He has all the baggage too plus hills. That's truely amazing. Some of the tribal people in places like Africa, South America are also amazing and Himalayan and Hindu Kush mountain people. They cross valleys like an old guy I met in his late 70s which he did non stop. It keeps them so young to keep doing it their whole lives.

That was quite an adventurous start to the day! Glad you didn't have to do a U-Turn! Wow! I bet you feel so soft now after talking to the Swedish runner! HaHa! 🤣 What a guy! Legendary effort! I'm not an edamame bean fan either, some people rave about them! What a nice day of riding. Some great scenery despite smashing out some big miles!

Nice episode! Your tight schedule and having to ride the Interstate highways means you missed riding some of the finest roads in the USA. When you're ready, return, and I'll be your personal guide in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Through my affiliation with the touring company, I may be able to set you up with bikes. Something to consider 🤔 Good seeing you on the chat this morning.

411 miles.. awesome. I like the idea that you travel at 'your' fastest road speed. And not what the other drivers do. See, uour hike eill be listed as one owner. Lightly dtiven. Not raced. It shows how good motorcycles are built these days. Love your campsite. Chairs...a luxury Lol

Correct me if my arithmetic is wrong. But when you mentioned crossing the 45th parallel and that you travelled from 55 degs Sth then that would mean 100 degrees of latitude change. My sums suggest that you’ve travelled 6,000 nautical miles or around 11,000 km give or take a few, during this most recent leg of your journey. That’s nothing to sneeze at. Well done.

I don’t mean to laugh at your “distance accomplishments” but since high speed travel is so easy in the US I kinda have to. My typical stops are around 185-200 miles apart, and if I haven’t done 250-300 miles before noon I’m really slacking. But like the tortoise and the hare, slow and steady wins the race 😅😅😅

I noticed the other bikers riding beside and I thought, have you learned the standard motorcycle wave that most American motorcyclists do when passing in opposite directions? I'm curious to know if any other countries motorcyclists do any type of wave to acknowledge each other? Great video as always and I am seriously considering getting the new vstrom 1050 de as my next motorcycle. Be safe and keep living your dreams together!
