Daisy Edgar Jones and Taylor John Smith open up about filming ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ and share some fun behind-the-scenes secrets with ‘Extra’s’ Katie Krause. The pair react to the surprise twist and reveal they had no idea Taylor Swift was going to write ‘Carolina’ for the film until the trailer was about to drop. They also gush over Reese Witherspoon and explain how they learned to drive boats for the movie. ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ hits theaters Friday, July 15.

didn't read the book, but amazing movie. haven't seen a drama like this in so long. studios need to put money back into actual cinema instead of superhero films. this whole film is emotional, casting was done perfectly, and Taylor Swifts song at the end is hauntingly moving.

One of my favorite parts of Daisy and her acting is when I’m watching her films or series’ I forget I’m watching a movie. It feels vulnerable and like I’m watching someone else’ life and that’s how film should be and feel. Loved this film & Daisy killed it.

Critics are often superficial and can't see the deeper meaning and emotions in a film. I never listen to critics. I judge a film by what average movie goers are saying about it.

SPOILER ALERT!! Everyone is raving about this movie but the ending made my stomach turn. Another movie about woman fending for herself and being totally in charge, nature ruling, and the law of the jungle. The men are either violent or passive and submissive. Despite her horrible upbringing her actions were not justified. She could've sought support and/or refuge from the man who loved her. I went from pitying her to feeling disgust toward what she had done and being able to live with that seemingly w/o any guilt/remorse.

Taylor Swift is an opportunist who arrogantly sought to attach herself to this brilliantly executed cinematic masterpiece. I watched it twice so far and made sure I exited the theater when the Taylor Swift song plays in order not to ruin the atmospheric perfection of the film. Daisy Edgar Jones and the little girl who plays young Kya JoJo Regina draw tears from your heart. The entire cast and crew where amazing..except that Taylor Swift horribly produced and over rated pile of dog dung.

Society is so dumbed down ..most wouldn't know the difference between a well produced song and one that's just thrown together for profit. I've actually worked for Big Machine records so trust me I know what they do and how Taylor Swift's company operates. Her Dad bought up millions of downloads of her first songs to get her where she is. Your all being played. The girls talent is minimal. Almost every new country singer these days are merely acting like they can play. The studio musicians and back up bands do all the work. Not to mention she works with the worst producers in music history. So I stand by my word....and before you recommend therapy you might want to actually know what your talking about. No hate for Taylor. Just wish she'd put more effort into it.
