Where The Eagles Fly
Bald Eagles have not been commonly seen in Kansas until the last couple of years. In 2020, I realized that there were a pair of American Bald Eagles that had built a nest on our farm. In March, she stayed in the nest for a few weeks, but then they were gone. Fortunately, in November, they returned and rebuilt their nest. Farmer Derek lives and works on the Klingenberg Family farm and ranch. He works with his Dad and two brothers. They raise Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Cattle, and Cats. They background all the cattle and then graze them in the Flint Hills and they end up at the feedyards in Western Kansas.
The farm was started in the mid 30's by his grandpa who immigrated from West Prussia in 1923 when he was 9.
Growing up, Derek's family priorities consisted of church, family, work, music, and eating a lot. He now has his own family of three cute girls along with his wife Kara. Derek spends his time working on the farm, dancing with his girls, and making KZfaq videos.
