Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall ask just where the MP for Mid Bedfordshire is, as it has been 75 days (and counting) since she resigned as an MP with "immediate effect" but is still in the role, and getting paid for it.
Since announcing she'd go in June, Dorries has received calls to go from local councils, politicians and even the Prime Minister. She's also been criticised for effectively going missing. So what has she been up to?
And it's a big night in American politics - it's the first debate to choose the Republican candidate for the 2024 election and one very familiar face won't be there.

We truly need to reform parliament, where we are in charge of discipline as they have lost the right to discipline themselves. They have lied and cheated us out of money, and they are not putting a shift in. There needs to be no second jobs they need to turn up for parliament on a daily basis. Anyone with a conflict of interest in regards to having large amounts of shares in large companies that could be a problem in the future with contracts being issued, etc, need not apply. Sunaks father in law getting a 1.5 billion contract from Shell or BP before Sunak announced drilling rights stinks 100%. The real big one is this. Lying to the public needs to be a criminal offence if an MP. Its time we reminded them that they work for us.

They're all corrupt, and totally agree reforms are needed and there needs to be retrospective punishments for those who've abused the system within national and local government (local councils are just as bad when it comes to the way the procure services and products)

I am struggling to understand why these two journalists had so much time for Nadine Dorries,am i being cynical or is it more to do with the way she looks rather than her none existing intellect,they need to get out of the Westminster bubble more often,Dorries has done nothing of consequence since becoming an MP,they would do well to read the Wikipedia write up to see what a complete waste of time she was,which by the way didn't stop her from trying to extract as much expenses as she thought she could get away with.

What happened to this Nadine Dorries compared to the Nadine Dorries we have now. The Nadine Dorries we have today seems bitter about not getting a peerage neglecting her constituents. I mean it's fair for Nadine Dorries to ask why she didn't get a peerage but neglecting her constituents not holding surgeries where her constituents can ask help from her as their MP in their constituents matters.

The unfortunate thing with UK parliament is they make the rules we have to live by but the house of commons and the house of lords just have guide lines is it run like a London gentlemen's club. I agree with Chris Bryant and we need a reform act the has clear rules for MPs and members of the house of lords with punishments. No MP should be allowed to just stop doing their job. It is worse with Dorries because it looks like her constituency are in a worse position because if she was not able to do her job because of serious illness another MP would help to deal with constituency problem and enquires.

I reckon when she didn’t get her peerage & place in the HoCs, she threatened to expose some people who know she has stuff on & that is why she is continued to take a salary & the benefits of being an MP when she is no longer acting as an MP & doing the work an MP is required to do… & not just her, her daughters she has employed in her office in Parliament…
