Where the Wild Stomped In - Happy Papa's Day!

For me, it started off so simple. A boy on a motorcycle for the first time tearing through the backyard. It was only a moment in time, but the ride changed something in me, it was the moment where the wild stomped in.
I saved an old rusty motor to build a bike one day, and it’s taken three decades to fulfill the dream. Over the years the dream evolved and now all I wanted was to build a bike with my children, to give them the same experience I had as a child, to give them the wind, and the freedom of the ride.
A broken motor inspired a dream, and taught me it’s better to share those moments with my babies, the moment where the wild stomped in.
What started out as a visit to Harley-Davidson to pay my respects turned into a new partnership. I wanted to honor their legacy, too ride is in my blood. So my friends and I went out and shot this video on our own.
We built a Harley, our memories are woven into the metal, but it’s more than that, it has become a Momoa family heirloom. The legacy is Harley’s, but the memories are ours. Mahalo for the memories.

spoilt and arrogant huh? the mom doesn't allow tv in the house nor electronics bc she wants their imagination to expand. said that herself. I don't think they are your typical "Hollywood children". They are literally always outside with the animals or doing some outdoor activity. That is what you call a healthy way of living. Teaching and showing their kids what actual life is.

I've had 2 dads and they both abandoned me and dropped my like shit. Seeing this makes me wish my dads were like you. But then again, it inspires me so greatly to one day be the dad i've learned not to be. Cherish these moments and share them with your kids. Motivate them to be what they want to be. I'm not evem 30 years old but i'm f* cking crying seeing this, knowing that i will not be like my dads were. Thanks Jason for motivating me.

@Harley-Davidson , screw you for fleeing the country. You sold out to globalism at the expense of American workers. Your bikes are 20 years behind the competition, outrageously overpriced and sold by name brand only... a name brand sinking everyday along with your sales. I owned one of you're over priced lemons, NEVER AGAIN! If Im going to buy a foreign made bike, might as well get one thats dependable, has better technology at half the price. Harley as a company is slowly dying and withering away... and I could not be happier about it. *spits*

I had the same defining moment as a kid..I'll never forget that Christmas morning in 1998. Running into the living room to see what Santa brought me, and there in the corner next to the tree was a big wrapped up box with red grips hanging out the sides. I don't remember this but my parents say I was so excited and so happy that I was shaking uncontrollably. In there was my very own piece of wild, my first motorcycle, a Yamaha PeeWee 50. It might not have been much, but it was the best thing for me. Fast Forward 20 years and I've built my first chopper, a 70s Ironhead and it too, will be passed down to my kids and hopefully one day theirs, our heirloom. Like you for your kids, my parents gave the Wild the opportunity to stomp in for me. This video is amazing, thanks Jason, makes me love my family and my motorcycles just that much more.

He'd take me to school the first and last day of school every year growing up. He passed when I was 11 and the bike was left to sit. I've worked on it thru out the years but have never ridin it for fear that something would happen. I'm now 33 with 2 twin boys who are 8 and they have never experienced what I have. Remembering when my son on his 31st birthday my man Pete had a father and son moment with my son Jay and let my son ride his Harley-Davidson the 1st my man ever let ride his Harley. One of many more father and son moments. Thank you Jason my only son is name Jason like you I raised him alone since 5 years old and he's grown to be a great young man because he has support from his mom and like you we love family. God bless your family.

Jason, you are an exceptional man, son, husband and father. To watch you with Lisa, or your Mom and Grandma, and especially your kids, is a wonderful and sweet thing to see. I am a single mom, I've raised 3 exceptional kids, 2 sons, one daughter. My eldest is nearly 28, and he wants to travel and work a job where a boss isn't looking over his shoulder. So he's becoming an over-the-road trucker, where he'll be gone a week at a time. He always did love road trips. My second boy is 26 and mid-level autistic. He inherited my Dad's love of motorcycles and my love of horses. My daughter is my artist who loves music. I can only hope that at 40, each of my kids can be as down-to-earth, content and yet passionate about life as you are. Your parents and family should be proud; they did a good job with you,.

Wow that little story brought me to tears. I enjoyed watching Jason Nampa in movies. After watching a couple of these type of videos, I respect him as a father, a husband, and now as an ordinary man. He has enough money to have any bike he wanted, but instead he'd rather build one himself out back in an old garage with friends and family. Just like an ordinary guy. God bless Jason mamoa

I know that you are an actor...a Hollywood member.....but this little movie was far more captivating, far more inspiring, far more heart touching, than anything that has come out of TinselTown in many many years. This little movie is love, longing, life, laughter, loss and longevity in one beautiful package. I have had no desire to watch a single Hollywood piece of drivel in a long time....but if this 8 minute movie were to play at my local theater, I would go, buy that $15 box of popcorn and that $7 mega-cup of watered down soda....and watch it on the big screen with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. This little movie is Oscar-worthy material at last.

Hollie, something guided me to your message. I too was moved by Jason, like Always. His spirit and soul is just something you can't ignore and become inspired by. He is the Divine Man that all men should allow themselves to be, and not what the world tells them to live as. Your fiance was no doubt the same, as you also describe him to be. Yes, he is with you my dear, no doubt about it. Perhaps he is with Jason too, to help him radiate this profound and radiant energy and inspire more people, especially men, to release the DIVINE MASCULINE that lives in all of us and be in balance with the DIVINE FEMININE energy. So thank you, to you and your beloved, for being a part of what is changing the world.

I learned to ride a motorcycle before I learned to ride a bicycle. I was just a child, at age 10 years old when my older brother taught me how to ride.. A few years later, as young teens, I will never forget the day we were riding his dirt bike when the throttle broke wide open. He was such an expert, and wouldn't let anything happen to his little sister. It was a scary ride, but we made it home without so much as a scratch. I didn't want to do it again, but that is a memory I will treasure. As an adult, he could ride a bike like no one I ever saw, but we were poor kids without sponsors, and now as a 60 year old man, those days of competing are behind him. While he competed many dirt bike events, and won, he also broke many bones through out the years, but the one constant always remained, he always got back on his bike and rode. He was wild and free. (thank you for the trip down memory lane).
