You know it's f***** up I was an adult by the time this movie came out. But when I was a kid it was my absolute favourite book and it was because I felt like I didn't belong and I felt like maybe somewhere out there there's a place for wild things like me. The fact that they've banned this book someplaces is disgusts me. I'm 36 years old and I'm still trying to find Where the Wild Things Are

It's not the same formula, but this reminds me so much of Pete's Dragon. In a way, the Dragon moves from child to child to aid them in need. In relation, the island is meant to aid children like Max. And moves from child to child, possibly changing form to reflect the child. We don't know the other versions, because they aren't meant for us.

The wild things roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws but Max stepped into his private boat and waved good-bye and sailed back over a year and in and out of weeks and through a day and into the night of his very own room where he found his supper waiting for him and it was still hot.

I feel like Max trying to have everyone together represents that we always want things to go our way but we'll eventually have to grow up and realize that doesn't always happen. Part of what’s great about friends is also part of what sucks about them. It seems that our situations dictate friendships at first. Then, given enough time together in these situations our friendships may transcend our situations. I am currently in active contact with ONE friend I’ve had since elementary school and several more I met all the way in college. Of course, now that I’m older, I don’t view these other friends as being enemies or even NPC’s. I know that if we were to get together again, we would probably still hit it off. Anyway, it’ll all work out. Make new friends, or don’t! Sometimes it’s okay to go it alone too.

I remember this was my favorite movie when I was little. It made me feel loved but lonely at the same time. At the age of six, I didn’t know why the ending scene always got to me until I got older. People underestimate how lonely it can be to be a kid.. I did have a lot of friends and family as a child, but being physically alone is different from feeling alone and at several times, I felt like the loneliest kid in the world. At the age of six I couldn’t form it into words, but now I can say that this movie captures the pure essence of childhood sorrow and everlasting love perfectly. Im not lonely anymore by the way. I have people who truly love me and I love them back with all my heart and soul, and when I’m with them, I never ever feel alone. Yet with this pandemic, I haven’t seen my boyfriend or any of my friends in over 5 months. I know that I’ll see them again soon, and I’m happy that we still talk like 24/7, but I miss seeing them in person. I haven’t felt that sense of loneliness in a very long time. Coming back to this ending scene is one of the greatest loves and greatest sorrows that cinema has to offer me.

I remember seeing this movie as a kid when it came out and I loved it, but was still crushed, and when I rewatched it years later on my 18th birthday, and it still crushed me, this is one of the most beautiful movies in my opinion, it truly emphasizes the meaning of love, and what it does to us, be it positive or negative, we all still love each other no matter what.. Plus RIP Mr. Gandolfini, your performance still breaks me, and I love it, you're a true inspiration to me as an actor, I hope you're well on the other side good sir.

This movie was too short. Just rewatched it after 12 years and cried throughout the whole thing. Like a dream of a time before. This goodbye really got me because this movie was so short and unsuccessful that it’s the only one in its class. So this goodbye is really goodbye forever.

I remember watching this movie late at night with my cat the day before he was euthanized due to medical issues. I started crying at this part and even though he didn't have the strength to climb or run anymore, he inched his way towards me and rested his head on my leg and started purring. I miss you everyday Solaire. Don't go, I'll eat you up I love you so.

Did not expect this to be the origin of the soundtrack used in The Good Place, but the composer certainly did a great job creating a song so bittersweet that it almost brings me to tears every time I hear it. "The song for goodbyes" is what I'll remember it as, whatever the meaning. because it just _fits_ . I really just love this :)

This movie is an underrated jewel, no wonder so few remember it... there are almost no children's movies out there that symbolize life issues with the ferocity of this one, and I'm not happy about it this wasn't scary at all for me, it was scary the feeling of emptiness that the saddest scenes left me when I was little. And now I that understand it more than ever the thing gets worse :'(

When I watched this as a kid for the first time ever, I was honestly super scared of Carol, especially when he got angry and tried to eat Max. At the end I literally was panicking and thought Carol was gonna make it to Max’s boat and eat him. But re-watched it a million times, I cried hard when Carol started to howl, I wish he got a hug from Max, as I would’ve hugged him. God I love this movie and I love watching it with my babies so much. Ugh.
