In this simple, easy to follow tutorial, I’m going to be showing you guys, step by step, how to find each and every one of the 5 cuddlefish eggs in Subnautica. I’ll be showing you them from the easiest to find, to the hardest.

I found out five cuddlefish eggs were in the game and I knew I had to get all five of them I looked for a tutorial on how to get them I found one but it was really sloppy and I couldn't keep up but this one I found like four in five seconds and I'm still watching the video and I just wanted to say thank you to the Creator cuz it's really help me out good luck when you hit 1K I found found out cuttlefish I will be watching more

The first egg i found was the grand reef base, but for some reason the egg was broken. Its outer shell was split in two, and the little guy had no eye. It was the most horrifying thing down there, despite the crabsquids and warpers down there. I found an intact egg in the northwest mush forest.

This is really good, I found two cuddle fish eggs myself, the degasi one and the one at the alien lab place, I released them both in the safe shallows but both disappeared, I don’t know if they died, if I crashed into them or what. But im nearing the end of the game and I know there’s a final scene with them so I wanted to keep a few safe in my alien containment to release before I leave. I looked at a few different tutorials but they were all really confusing but this one was so helpful and clear, thank you!

Judging by the location of the first two and final egg, the Cuddlefish most likely lived in the Mushroom Forest biomes and used the cave systems as a hiding place for their eggs and against any predators. The one in the dunes most likely got lost after roaming outside of the forest, where it produced an egg before being eaten. As for the one in the Degasi base, they most likely took it from a mushroom forest where they were then attacked by the Reaper Leviathan before they could hatch it.

Also, a funny but kinda sad story about these guys: I had just got back from exploring for more eggs and I wanted to put my current Cuddlefish in the ACU with the eggs. For whatever reason, I first resorted to the Prawn suit with propulsion arm which lead to me misclicking and launching the poor bugger across the map. I quit the game without saving so now I need to find them all over again.

Thanks for this! I accidentally wrecked the first egg I found when the Peepers in my Containment overbred, whoops. Your guide showed me I'd accidentally built right over another egg, less than a minute away--my base is right above that Mushroom Forest cave! This guide's clarity and speed make it excellent.

I told mine to stop following and I saved and exited. When I loaded back in he disappeared and couldn’t find him anywhere near where I told him to stop following Edit: and I didn’t do farewell Edit 2: since this happened I can’t get in the mood to play subnautica like I used to Edit 3: I put him in my alien containment unit and decided to get the achievement when u let him outside And that’s how he went away after I stopped him from following me
