It has incredible school opportunities, great places to eat, and beautiful outdoors to see, Oak Ridge is the place to be!

Relocated temporarily from Georgia a few weeks ago at the national lab and am liking Oak Ridge and Knoxville so far. I was surprised by the history of it and the attractions.

City of Oak Ridge is a government run city. If that is your cup of tea then you will love it. International property laws and tons of bureaucracy. However, change is very slow so it will keep the small town feel for years and years to come. And eat at The Other One. The new location is so much better than where they were. Kroger Marketplace was the biggest Kroger when they built it in Westcott Center. I’m a big fan of East TN local eateries: Aubreys and Calhouns. And the local owned Donut Palace.

Why is food so expensive in TN? Been to a lot of states and what costs $20 in KY, SC, NC, VA costs $35 in TN

Please don’t encourage people to move here - soon we will be just as over crowed and over populated as where all the newcomers came from - will lose our southern roots way of life freedom southern culture and southern mountain language and small towns and farmlands
