If your soul sleeps with your body at death, then once He returns and resurrects the dead to be with Him in heaven. It will still be the same day to that thief because time doesn't move in the grave. Correct. Jesus never went to hell and preached. All who died before his resurrection were where they were going to be. Those in Paradise rose and many were seen by others. Now able to be in the presence of God, because our Jesus made it possible.

That's trash theologians because 'hell' is not a real or active place right now or will it ever be unless you want to call the lake of fire hell. Revelation chapter 20 says 'hell' and death will be destroyed by being thrown into the lake of fire. The only entities that are ever said to have to spend eternity in 'hell' or the lake of fire are the devil, the beast, and the false prophet. There is some short verses that say the fallen angels are chained into an abyss but still alive. There is so so so much bad theology out there but if you read Revelation chapter 20 without a bias mind you can basically get the whole story on death and your 'spirit' or soul. A nephesh is the body mixed with the ruach of Yahuah. It doesn't separate and go party while you wait to go to a different party later with the Father. That would mean we never die. That would make the serpent a truth teller. The parable of Lazarus and the Richman is just a parable, not meant to be real but if you take that literally the Richman looks up to the sky for Abraham. By the way the NT translates 'hell' from hades, gehenna, Tartaros , and it mostly means sheol which is just the grave. Hades and death are linked several times as the same thing.

The thief is still in *Sheol/Hades,* Soul and all. However as soon as the tribulation is over, Jesus will give the thief life and give him another chance to do things right, during Jesus' One Thousand year rule over the Earth turned into a Paradise. *(Psalm 37:11; Matthew 5:5; Revelation 20:1-6)*
