Same with Lingyang, we shouldn't write either of them off. Lingyang is easily my favorite so I'm hoping the changes bring him up to par with the others. His Gameplay seems incredibly fun so I'm very excited and hope for the best for both Lingyang and Jianxin!

To be fair... Since in genshin everything is about your team and rotation any character can work fine for everything. Diluc simply had his moment of glory during the fake advertisements of the drama shenanigans, but then people realized that Navia does the same and much more and forgot about his again. As far as free to play goes, the Batoneta (pun intended) adds are meaningless since they require 2x 5* characters and one of them is heavily advertised with constellations. Free to play that use their brain will not be spending their resources on her just for Diluc and casual spenders already know that one or two characters are not enough, so they will be spending to strengthen their TEAM (that is of course unless you are pulling or building cause you like the character and then all reason can go out of the window).

Also, you still can easily clear abyss with diluc

To be fare Diluc was one of the top dps even for a standard char for the whole of first year of genshin because fire + water was the dmg meta up till Dendro came out. And over time simply abyss hp sponges just out scale Dilucs dmg in the amount of time he needs to be on field. The moment Hu Tao came out she was simply a better Diluc even on C0 with that garbage stamina consumption and wasn't worth picking him over Rational team or Hu Tao teams. It's what it is for any standard hero dps even for early limited banner once will get power creped eventually depending on the content scaling and new shiny once while supports stay a lot longer reverent.

Most of the characters in WuWa will keep being very usable, as the game is more skill based than gear based.

JIanxin does look cool, (her animations kinda look like an airbender) and I like all-rounders, but her gameplay seems so slooow... Holding the button for five seconds while you slowly charge up a shield doesn't look very fun... Plus, it seems like she takes too much field time to be a good support, and does too little damage to be a good DPS. If I get her, I'm building her, but... Right now, if I have to pick one, I'm more inclined to go for Verina. Given how many cool DPS and sub-DPS characters this game has even among the 4*s, and the need to build 3 separate teams for the Tower of Adversity, a universally good healer/support that doesn't take much field time to do her job seems too good to pass up. Especially since she potentially has a 30% all damage buff for the whole team with nearlu 100% uptime, (with the right echo set) a 20 ATK buff, and also acts as a sub-DPS attacking enemies from off-field while you use your main DPS... On top of having the highest healing output, of course. Her kit is just way too loeaded.

Wuthering Waves and Genshin are completly different so should stop comparing characters when wuthering has a completly combat system, characters like Xiao or Nahida in genshin has unique fonction than base standard wuwa character have such as plunge and great kits based around buff and universal support, every units has it in wuthering, and there are no reaction

yea but at the beginning, most people wont be able to dodge parry everything. it takes time to learn the game and while you're learning, having heals and protection from death will help a lot. in the long term, none of the standard 5stars will be relevant but it's a good idea to choose rhe one that'll allow you to make mistakes and learn the game

If you make that comment, you don't understand why qiqi is considered bad. First, she has very little elemental application uptime meaning she doesn't really work for element teams. Second she doesn't really bring any damage increase to the team. Most supports in genshin have some kind of mechanic to bring more dps, qiqi does not. Third as a support she focuses on pure healing and nothing else. Genshin is not a game where you want pure healing in the first place as it is a wasted slot. Plus to get big heals on her you have to be hitting the enemy during a specific time window. If the enemy dies, there goes your big heals. The video explains the reasons for the new girls kit. To put it simply, she comes with a damage amp, can heal off the bench, has a lifesaving skill. All of these are very valuable.

Calcharo, Yinlin and Verina would be a good team :)
