I got the akaso EK7000 in january 2017. I broke the screen over a year ago an can only see about 80% of the screen but its still going strong today, ( WARNING READ THIS ) only bad thing is when i got a replacement waterproof case it wasn't fully waterproof, NEVER put the camera in the waterproof case till you know the case is fully waterproof, put some toilet paper in the case an then sink it in water for half hour. dont let it float on top of the water, if the paper is dry your ready to go :) hope this helps

@@Jimmy9904 as far as I know the brave 7 will have external mic support where as the LE did not. Plus I believe that the 7 will be USBC and the LE was Micro USB.

Appreciate the time you take for these videos. You gained another subscriber. I just got the Brave 6 Plus a few issues/ questions. The internal mic when there is no sound has a constant chirp circuit sound and in low light with EIS in I get tinted bars 2-4 on the shot. External mic works great!

Excellent video. I have the 7000 because I do kayaking, fishing, and hunting videos from time to time. What I hate, and what no one talks about, is (1) lighting needs and (2) the case "pings" on the audio when you're moving and the camera shifts a little. Regarding the lighting needs, unless it is super bright...the 7000 just won't do. I tried using it for a regular video inside my house. I had 6 LED studio lights on me and it looked like I was shooting at night. As for the plastic case, any movement of the camera (when in the case), is picked up and makes a loud pinging sound that is impossible to clean up in editing. I don't know why reviewers never address the issues of indoor lighting (since most small vloggers will use it for i doors as well) and the use of the camera in an aquatic setting (since water-based activities are really huge).

I know this video's quite a bit old now, but I just wanted to say this was an excellent review. I actually watched it beginning to end, I wasn't even tempted to click off--and with my lovely ADHD riddled self, that says quite a bit! If I'm watching a few different kinds of videos, I tend to skip around on the time bar the whole time, haha. But you caught and held my attention 100% for well over 16 mins now--even enough to ramble in a comment for the next hour! Ha! XD So! Great information, above all! You come off very authentic; I love that you actually got excited and showed real emotion, like you spoke from your heart. You definitely weren't boring, you have good energy, and you seem very comfortable on camera. You did a great job putting this video together, too. I was very glad to see that you have all of your equipment used to shoot listed in the description, thank you! :P (Can I ask what you use to edit/finalize your videos, before uploading them on here?) I think what I loved the most was how you didn't just automatically advise to go get the newest, and most expensive one out there, but, & more importantly, that you explained *why* you felt the one was better /for you/ than the other. I'm so glad I watched this, just for the fact that you mentioned the external audio options, alone! Well done. I like the way you emphasized the key distinctions. Ironically, I landed on the V50 Elite for specialized purposes. I'm not a vlogger, so I don't need any microphone at all, or need dual screens. The Elite has almost everything I need (*), and when I found one at a good discount, I pounced. I'm very happy with it. (* Except motion detection, but the Brave 4 Pro gives me that for when I need it.)

Good choice! Ive been talking with Akaso and the Brave 7 has some internal mic problems, but looks like they may have it figured out 🤞🏻. So the 6 Plus is solid. The 7 will hopefully be better soon.

you said this wasn't an exciting video, yes it was...it was very informative and clear to follow. thanks for giving great details on what the cam components...that helps me decide...know whats on each camera helps me make a decision...i would like to see a video on cams that are good in day and night...i'm shooting a tv drama show and i want to get that cinema look...to my footage... thanks for great content

Much appreciated. The Akasos dont do great in low light. But most action cameras have problems when it gets dark. Bonus of these is the price. You get a prety nice little action cam without having to break the bank.

Can't picture a use for one for me but very glad motovloggers use them. If there was a chance I would get one, I would likely opt for the Brave 7e. If you are getting anything and it's in your budget, get the latest.

Hello, just found your channel, thank you for making this very useful videos. Just what I needed, there are so many of these cameras available it is hard to know which does what and which to get. I am searching for a budget action camera to do moto blogging and I need that external mic. Thank you for clarifying and answering all of my questions. The 6Plus is the one for me. I still don't like that you can only use their own microphone which might not be the best. It would be great to just get a camera with a line in port for any microphone. If you know of such a thing, please make a video about other options out there. Also, I was watching your video on my 2021 regular iPad model, and it looked fantastic, the colors where super, the contrast, the definition, you did a really great job setting up that scene, and it looks perfect on my iPad. I wonder which of those little cameras were you using to shoot that studio scene.

Hi Cruisin, i'm here back in the Uk to splat a comment yip agin' ! At 10.24 you are yabbin' about the A 7 Brave LE not having a ext mic port . Hey never mind that , how about using a Tascam or better still an Olympus LS-P4 and strap it with all those wonderful accessories.... to the cam and use a dead acorn wooly hat , just imagine the direction possibilities and the awesome quality , then just do a wave synch in post . Just bought the 7 LE after buying the Campark V40 which is a mind blast all of its own . I love ya yabbers about new products , ya never know , one day it would be cool to spend an evening in the shed just yabber jabbing about the old days , 35mm stuff , the first ever cam and good stuff. My first ever real cam was a Ricoh KR 10 Super 35mm and I thought it was the bogs dollocks ...I more a GH5 and GH5s nowadays but love these mini cams ...super for doing time lapsing in a flower garden and stuff. Just need a good IR version to get marketed and i'll be on it. A very pleasurable run through yet again mate . I got the 7LE on a timed bargain flash price of just over £100 down from £163 on Big River . com, Go pro's are £400 plus now so it was a no brainer .

I cant tell you how incredibly perfect this video was for me! I've recently gotten the urge to film on my moto rides and I was just gonna pick up a GoPro9 (image quality and stabilization) but then I found out how insanely buggy they are! People say the Insta360 gets hot and craps out just as much so Im like Jeez! If the most expensive cams are crap then I may as awell same money and go cheap! I saw the 7000 on amazon and ended up here. I think I'm gonna pick me up a 7LE and if it works out get a few more for around the bike. THANKS!

nice. if you can and if you need an external mic, then get the new brave 7. It has external mic support.
