They were sore losers. Dana brought her Season 10 pettiness with her to this season and made Michelle a teammate her shield. Someone she could hide behind and ride her coattails to the Black Jacket round. She did it with Christina.

@@seanswinton6242And Michelle is just like Christina, her head is always on competition and she didn't back down to Elise and Barbie's bullying her. Hence why Michelle later get invited in Season 19 & 20 for being the chef's helper for the final 3, probably because the winner of Season 18 (Ariel) declined the position as Head Chef because she doesn't want to move her family to East Coast and Season 19 (Kori) who also declined the position as Head Chef for family reason.

Gaurav isn’t that bad. I’ve seen several chefs including Ramsay himself put finger in the food to taste. Besides his cooking mistakes were really minor, while DeMarco and Gabe were serving overcooked and raw food the same night.

I’ve often said that Milly is the Boston Rob of Hell’s Kitchen. You can tell Chef Ramsay absolutely loves him (similar to how Jeff Probst loves Boston Rob), giving him pep talks, saving him when he doesn’t always do well, even having a gleam in his eye when addressing Milly. Even this immunity win, even if it’s for this challenge, it doesn’t seem to amount to much, since Milly’s never in any danger this episode. There’s a reason this twist never came back. On a side note, this isn’t a critique of Milly as a person. I don’t know him personally or much about him outside of the show. I just have a strong sense when production favors or wants to push people on certain shows. And I can kinda see that with Milly here.

I think the Punishment Pass was a better idea, though it has the flip side of the hypothetical winner being eliminated before they have a chance to use it. Still, the ones i’ve seen who win the pass are pretty good chefs (with one exception, though i won’t spoil)

Similar to a lot of shows, while they are all great chefs, Milly is also a bit more theatrical and will respond emotionally. His excitement shows which is great for television.

I think that's a pretty brilliant analogy however I love both Boston Rob and Milly. Gordon definitely has a soft spot for Milly but I think he is a great chef. I think Gordon sees what he's been through and how well he does that he wants him to stay consistent and confident.

It was inspired by Canadian poutine. I believe there is a version of it also in New Orleans which is closer to what Millie was making. I'm guessing the French influences in both areas has something to do with it.

I havent watched this season, but the Protection from Elimation was problaby a lie or test of sorts to weedout people who might get lazy or to see who would still give their 100% on the service. My reasoning being that Chef Ramsay has on record elimiated people who werent nominated or an additional person in some specific cases.

Gordon has to keep his words in not eliminating the winner. But then again, if you win the challenge, you're good enough to not be eliminated at the start of the competition.

Being safe from Elimination is different from not being nominated. If you are just not being nominated, you are not safe (but most of the time one of the Nominees will be eliminated). But if you are safe from Elimination, you wont get eliminated. (Probably except if you really, really mess up, but I dont think that this was expected in an All-Stars season) And while it is true that sometimes people get eliminated who were not nominated, often enough the Chefs decided to nominate someone they dislike or not nominate someone they like, which is the reason why Ramsay stepped in. He does not eliminate someone who did well and he does not keep someone who did terrible.
