One might be called JLA, but is it possible that there is a better McFarlane Toys Batman action figure to represent the Dark Knight as he appeared in Morrison and Porter's historic run?

Always appreciate the head swaps.. never stop & give us more ! That said, you’re too harsh on the 2-pack Batman head. I like it. It’s good to get an expressive face & not just a stoic one. If you think he looks old well remember Bruce will be Batman for a long long time, you can’t keep a good vigilante down ;)

Great video but man, I've never liked the three jokers body. The height and proportions just bother me way too much. It only really looks good in a standing pose and anything dynamic feels awkward. The Hush variant is better but It best works as a center piece of a Batman centered display. Put him next to any other DC hero like Superman abd he sticks out too much. I wouldnt really care too much if it was only 3J's or Hush but they just keep reusing it.

Morrison JLA remains in my top 10 (if not 5) comic runs of all time and has yet to be topped by other Justice League runs. I am happy to get a completed team with this wave and Wally Flash, however my absolute dream would be for Mafex to do the JLA lineup in the same way they've been knocking other DC characters out of the park recently.

What would have made the difference was if we got a poseable cape to the JLA Batman like first appeearance.... it would have been a great figure to buy. Love all your videos sir... Love from India! ❤❤❤❤❤

Grant Morrison’s JLA run is my all time favorite. The rebuilding of the classic BIG 7…but utilizing Wally West and Kyle Rayner…badass hook handed Aquaman, Superman blue, and Martian Manhunter! It was so much fun! Got me back into collecting comics.

FINALLY someone noticed what I noticed. The Batman figure from the Spawn 2-pack is CLEARLY the one from JLA. Right down to the spiked shoulders. It inspired me to start collecting the "Magnificent 7" members of Morrison's JLA. Now all we need is a proper Wally West Flash figure. You got an instant thumbs up for saying Return of Superman and Kyle should've been in the JLA release. Literally what I did with my version of a JLA setup using McFarlane's figures.

I imediatly stuck the black closed mouth hush Batman head on my 2 pack Batman as soon as i got it and I did the exact same thing you did with my mullet superman, but I used the ultraman cape on mine and did a torso and neck extension and he's now the exact same height as that 2 pack Batman! I thought this wave was ironic because I've had that jla cover art as my background on my phone for over a year, so this wave just nails it for me especially anything 90s I'm all in!

While I don't care for how this Batman body scales with 99% of the other DC Multiverse figures, I have to admit that it looks great on its own. REALLY wish McFarlane would do a Martian Manhunter on a similarly sized body. I definitely agree that the background in the two pack looks like AI. Don't care for it, honestly, but it's a minor quibble.

I was never really a fan of the 3 jokers body but seeing that stylized dark 2 pack version makes me want to buy it (even though I have a nightfall batman). I would love to see you review his other half. Don't be intimidated if you're not a spawn fan. He's a pretty simple character to understand and all you need to know is that he has hellpowers, a knock-off cloak of levatation and a knock-off venom suit. He's was always more style than substance.

good review, the 2 pack Batman is my only normal Batman but agree that his head is weird, even looks like an evil version. Would be nice to hear your opinion on Spawn

Even though the jla batman didn't win, I'm still going to get him because of how well he resembles keaton and Kilmer's batsuit without the nipples. I thought the jla batman was better imo, but I can understand why you liked the 2 pack version on some of the things you pointed out that the jla version didn't capture from the artwork and vise versa.

I know you focused on the 2 pack figure looking more like Porter's JLA artwork, but on the flip side the JLA figure looks almost exactly like the artwork that is on the 2 pack box.

The Batman that comes with the axes- the father Batman build a figure looks best on the Batman and spawn two pack in my opinion.

I wish i can show u the custom batman i made using the 3j batman body with both hush heads for swapping out, modded forearms to have the gauntlets from rebirth batman with hands from 3j, trimmed the shins to shorten the body and used the boots from rebirth and feet from 3j with belt from #1000 batman and custom wired cape

I think it's because if you're going to have a figure defaulted with only one set of hands, it makes sense for one to be a fist and for the other to be an accessory holding one, and since most people are predominantly right-handed I think sculptors just think that a right-handed fist makes the most sense, though I would think that the accessory holding hand should be the right one in that case.

Sorry it's an easy choice, the two pack looks like it jumped off the comic page. Also why can't McFarlane maintain a consistent height for his characters, some Batman figures are tall and stocky others short and lanky, I get that some versions like Dark Knight Returns are meant to be big but his figures are all over the place.
