What if you open your Bible and it's a EVS or NASB,CSB and read 2 Sam 21:19 and find out someone other than David kill Goliath? Or turn the pages of a NIV and read John 5:3 but don't have John 5:4?? or even worst you go to Mark 9:29 and find it's missing the doctrine of Fasting for Power? finally you turn to Luke 4:4 and realize modern textual scholars are hoodwinking you!!!

Personally I love KING JAMES VERSION red letter. I don't like scripture changed to fit the person's agenda.

Would it be hard to accept that "the perfect bible" is the original torah and the gospel is actually an oral message written down by the authors of the nt who understood all languages that were used biblically?

@@svrsl7819 yes I do appreciate your concern at old English or Shakespearean English, the KJV, is modern English. Shakespeare did make up a whole bunch of words probably 1600s or so. Who is also written in a very poetic way and I agree I cannot read Shakespeare very well. But I have no problem with the KJV most children don't need it as well, and there's a whole bunch of American hillbillies that belong to Baptist churches that have no problem reading it and understanding as well. And I consider you probably 10 times smarter than them not that hillbillies are completely dumb but I suspect you would be more intellectual. But let's get down to the nuts and bolts of it because I don't think really that's the problem. The problem is one Bible, the problem is one true religion problem is one true God, the problem is it's offensive. Imagine one true Bible at all the rest are wrong. But there's more to this problem then just meet eye. There's hoaxes and fraud perpetrated on the Christian church by the war few talk about. The Catholic Church started this war a long time ago, by not letting the common simple folk have the Bible. Men like William Tyndale they gave their life for the Bible, resisted the church. And they paid the ultimate sacrifice so that you can have a Bible in your hand and no more than the word of God than the clergy. But the evil clergy far back. That's why you have codex a and b, aka the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus. Now if you don't know very much about these two manuscripts you should learn. But you'll have to do some digging. Let's start off with the Sinaiticus. Mysteriously it was found by a so-called protestant who went to the pope during this time of war and asked him if he could find earlier Bibles so we could have a better Bible and the protestant's KJV. Now if that doesn't twist your underwear knot, this Indiana Jones guy called Constantine Tischendorf finds it on his first venture out in a Catholic monastery. Well the pages he takes back, because maybe be a little too ridiculous if you found the whole book all at once. Look like brand new pages like white sheets that were 2000 years old but completely white. Did it draw suspicion, possibly so years later he goes back grabs the rest of them but mysteriously they're stained with lemon juice and coffee to look mysteriously older. And no eyebrows raised by the Catholic Church, but there was a scholar that said he listen - I see this book here that you're claiming to be an ancient relic but I wrote that for the czar of Russia and I'll debate you on that because you're a fraud mr. Tischendorf. The guys name was Somodities - and everybody was an uproar because they knew that Tischendorf was a fraud but the Catholic Church ran blocker for him and wouldn't let him debate Somodities. So with no KZfaq to shadow ban this or CNN two bring everything to light, like Hunter Biden laptop. We're now in a state of having a fraudulent text endorsed by the Catholic Church be mixed up with our Bible. That was step one. Step two goes like this in the basement of the popes house, there's a book called Vaticanus .. It was known about by Tyndale, wycliffe, Erasmus all early Bible translators. They all thought it was bunk because it was corrected so many times and it was missing a whole bunch of stuff as well as it look like a medieval work passing off as an ancient relic. Why did it look like a medieval work well it had very artistic capital letters reminiscent of medieval work and not of an old ancient relic. But yeah fool than once let's see if we can fool them again. So, to Anglican priest, so-called because they were involved in a cultish practices - it was a monthly group of occultist that meet in a practice called the ghoulish guild. They got involved in what was called textual criticism because they didn't believe the Bible was the word of God, what a better sport than taking to fraudulent Greek text and converting them into some form of abortion at the Catholic Church could use against the protestants and their Bible of choice the KJV. And so Wescott and hort, are the two clowns that will have to face judgment and may God not have mercy on their wickedness. Now, after they produce their unholy war called the critical text. Nobody can trust the Bible, because phrases words were removed from the authorized version. We now call the Nestlé Allen critical text. And I think it's on the 28th or 29th edition. Almost all new Bibles use this source tax in fact the New World translation uses it totally. That's why they are completely missing the woman caught in adultery in John eight. The Catholic Church has killed William Tyndale, and thousands if not millions of Bible believing Christians, they hated that the word of God got to the people because the authority got into the hands of the average person, when they wanted it in the hands of the clergy. So this is what you're fighting against and this is what you're fighting for.

YES YES YES! I used the NLT for a long time! Now my main Bible is ESV, but when I want another translation to compare it to, I often compare it to NLT! I love the point you made about some translations being better for studying while others are better for reading! :)

Yeah! I heard the same thing growing up about the CSB and KJV! It's so weird how bible translations can be divisive! Like, it's all the same book, people!!!!!

​@@HowtoFaithALifeYes, it's all the same Bible, just the KJV, NKJV and now also the MEV have that "Received Text" greek text with those dozen or so words that are missing from the other greek texts. Like, Jesus saying, "I came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance." (Mk 2:7b) Lk 5:32 gets it right, but there are also other examples of key, missing words. The KJV has bigger words than the NIV, so there's that, but the MEV sorts that out now.

Did you know (I don't call the message a translation) the message is a paraphrased translation it either says that in that book or on the box somewhere.

This is where I disagree with Faith - "The Message" was written by Eugene Peterson, not a group of people, scholars, or theologians, and it is a TERRIBLE translation. It didn't take a long time to write, and it is simply his personal interpretation of scripture (without using the original source materials). Instead of The Message, it really should be called: "Peterson's Personal Interpretation of the KJV".

Totally agree! I call it the "fluffy" translation. I know it isn't technically a translation but it is changed and added to enough that I think we can say that anyways. It comes off more as a poorly written devotional. Not a fan.

I bought one to try out and didn’t like it because it didn’t have verse numbers, so I got a new version. CSB. However, I did a study earlier today and read from both bibles. The Message is nice to read for a paraphrased version, but you definitely need to have something else to pull from too.

Amplified Bible - Sample Verses John 1:1, 14 - “In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. @@sylvia4425 the Amplified Bible is the translation, just like KJV, ESV and NLT are translations. The Amplified classic Bible version (first published in 1964) is better (but harder to find) than the revised version Amplified Bible that came out in 2015 in my opinion but both are good. Although I am not recommending her, Joyce Meyer uses the newer Amplified Bible.

With everything prayer and supplication- but there’s some easy ones for us to simply stay away from that we should be aware of. NWT - tailored to JWs agenda Nasb,ESV,CSB ,NLT - has the wrong person killing Goliath in 2 Samuel 21:19, you’re generally missing tons of verses, and in John 3:16 have removed the word begotten. Many of the early creeds use the word begotten, because it best described the relationship between god in Christ. NIV-missing verses, like John 5:4, changes doctrine in Mark 9:29 and again missing a whole bunch of verses. Now that I think of it, maybe just recommend a king James Bible

@@saturn6563 that’s a great place to start!! I think it’s a wonderful translation for starting out. I’m currently trying to get into the ESV translation now because my kids are learning this translation at school, so hopefully I’ll will do better with it then I have in the past. I want to be on the same page with them. I do like the NKJV also. But my favorites are NASB and CSB so far, hopefully I will learn to love the ESV the same. I thinks it’s such a great blessing to have so many different translations, but we definitely need to be careful about which ones we choose. The NLT is a great option. I also started getting into commentaries within the last 6 months which help me understand the text a lot better. I don’t know if you have it but the Blue Letter Bible website or app is good and has a lot of resources including commentaries if you ever need them.

Great advice and there is so much to take into account. It’s hard to simplify it. And it’s super easy to twist. Looking into the manuscript, he quickly find out that codex a and b may be a terrible Hoax played on honest people. What’s worse, is intellectual brothers people not speaking up about wescott and Hort.

Hey, if you get a chance, go to the ESV or the CSB and check out second Samuel 21:19 Who killed goliath? Then check out the KJV. After that, you got to go to Luke 4:4 Then you gotta go to John five:4

That's so funny, the KJV isn't the first translation, not even the first English translation! It's not worth dividing Christians over!
