The Cleveland Browns are a team full of talent, but there's still some players who need to make the jump in 2024 for the Browns to take the next step. While the Browns are still waiting on their return on investment from Deshaun Watson, he isn't the only player the team is waiting on to realize their potential. Former first-round pick Jedrick Wills is in a contract season and needs to live up to his billings as a premier left tackle. Juan Thornhill was brought in from the Kansas City Chiefs, but he hasn't brought the big plays the team hoped he'd bring. Receivers Elijah Moore and Jerry Jeudy are also guys who have a clock ticking on when they need to become the potential stars many believe they can become.

I said Wills also. And Juedy the 2nd guy. Hes never really lived up to his potential. He wasnt brought here to be a middle if the pack. Juedy needs to ball out this year. 1100 yards and 11 TD for starters. With the OL the Briwns have as the weapons to spread the ball around there is no reason he shouldn't have 1200 and 15.

"For starters" like there's any chance he gets 11 TDs. THREE WIDE RECEIVERS ALL FUCKING YEAR last year got 11 or more TDs. But that's what our Wr2 needs "for starters"

I agree, watson has not played consistently productive football since 2020. But that Stateline you just posted looks very similar to bakers stats from this past year 😂

@@StSt-hz1bb nah I would've been very happy if deshaun put up baker numbers last year, if you add that kind of consistency to our qb position we definitely would've made a deep playoff run maybe even went to afc championship game when u consider baker won another playoff game with a much worse Tampa team. Pretty sure baker had 4044 yards 29 tds and only 10 picks. I hope watson can eventually put up those numbers in cleveland.

The idea that Jeudy will get an automatic 1000 is pretty laughable. That's his ceiling. Realistic expectations is 800. Let's be honest.

Even though you said i cant say Watson. Im going to still say Watson is the one brown that has to step up. He has been awful since becoming a brown!

He was bad his first year. Last season it's hard to say he was awful, so much as that he got injured each time he started to get it going. He outplayed Burrow in the bad weather game to open the season. Was not great against Pittsburgh. Was pretty nearly perfect against Tennessee. INJURY. Tries to come back too soon and clearly doesn't have it against Indy. Comes back a couple weeks later against Arizona and takes care of business. Messy in the first half against Baltimore. Perfect against Baltimore in the 2nd half of what was finally his signature moment as a Browns QB...turns out he was doing it on a high ankle sprain and the previously injured shoulder from the Tennessee game being so bad that it now needed season-ending surgery. It's really hard to say how he was trending to play last year when every moment he got it going immediately preceded him getting injured and having to start over again.

@@jvandyck87 he put up below average passing stats vs cincy, pit, indy, and baltimore. all bad statistical games for him as a individual. 4 out of 6 games. thats bad

@@WSAMP24 I think you have to throw out the Indy game as he was playing on a shoulder that clearly couldn't throw a ball. Cincy, he outplayed Burrow in a bad weather game. And Baltimore he was perfect in the 2nd half against the best defense in the world and won a game against the best team in the AFC. I will give you that his performance against Pittsburgh was clearly not good enough, especially the pick-six on the very first play of the game. I think things were turning for the positive after that, but then Chubb's season ending injury kinda killed the Browns' vibes for the rest of that game. But to me, the only disappointing game from Deshaun last year was that Steelers game. The other games all had some positive you could take away from them (again, throwing out Indy, which I think we would do for any other QB).

@@jvandyck87 he barely plays as it is, we cant start ignoring games, or quarters, or halfs. He played in 6 games games. Lets judge him on everything he did in those 6 games. And when u look at his individual stats, he is bad in every category

@@WSAMP24 I think judging him on his availability is fair. Judging him on how he played when he came back too soon from what was already a career-threatening injury is looking to have a negative view going in. If you're not giving him credit for a come-from-behind win against the best team in the conference, then I think you at least gotta take out the Indy game, or you're not being balanced at all. I'm curious what kind of benefit of the doubt you give Baker Mayfield for his 2021 Browns season.
