@@Fareeda212 The North Sudanese are essentially the product of racial admixture between indigenous Sudanese and Arabs that arrived relatively recently; the admixture event took place around 650 AD. The South Sudanese have no admixture and this is why the two groups look so different. Sudan separated into two Countries because the admixed Afro-Arabs raided the South for slaves and continuously annexed Lebanon size territories from the South. The North is Muslim while the South is mostly Christian and this was unfortunately yet another source of hostilities; Islamic fundamentalists in the North attempted to impose Shariah on the entire Country and we simply wouldn't have it. PS: I'm not saying anything bad about Islam as a religion.

@@civileng6076 actually you in the north are the real diffrent one, Arabic and Islam is fairly new to sudan, even that term was specifically for the black sudanese living there one the arabs first arrived. The reason you feel connection to egypt is becuase they also went through arabisation and the indeginous cultures and people disappeared same thing happening in north sudan now. In a hundred years they will claim they are indeginous and always lived there. But in reality they are arabs from the middle East. The true sudanese are in south sudan and west in Darfur and the beja beja tribes also. The beja I include becuase they have been in sudan and Egypt longer then the arabs

There was a guy about 6'8 from sudan that work with me in a restaurant in Israel, people where staring at him for to long min because if the shock of physical features , after 3 years his imagrant visa has passed and he flight back. Where ever you are miss you yussef.

Bashir is gone, so maybe the tensions will decrease. There are territorial disputes that still need to be resolved; Kafia Kingi and Abyei are both the size of Lebanon and should be returned to South Sudan.

I am so happy how much the living of the people in South Sudan has improved I once held a presentation about climate change and poverty in some states which suffer from famine aswell. And although I am not saying everybody in South Sudan had such a rough start after they got independend, there some heavily effected areas in terms of famine. 🇩🇪🇸🇸
