now it is not Kiev but Kyiv. Kiev is an old version from russian pronunciation. But it is ukrainian city and Kyiv is right.

I visited kyyiv last year and really enjoyed my time in this beautiful city but also beautiful country of ukraine. Food very good, very good people and great prices! Charming architecture, looooot of history, outside of kiev, fertile wide open land. Very relaxing country. Greetings from Italy

I am from England, I have been in Ukraine a few times. I have also been in more than 50 countries . I am right now thinking about moving to Ukraine for the rest of my life. I will set up a business in there , buy a house and simply live in there.. Ukraine deserve to be a better country.. nice people, lovely culture , I hope I could find a way to learn Ukrainian language too....

Germans were not bad to Ukrainians during the WWII. My grandma told me that some German officers who stayed in their house shared food and gave some sweets they got from Germany to chdren... They were kind and understood that life of peasants was not easy. She also told me she secretly gave bred to German soldiers who were retreating from battles and were very hungry and looked miserable...
